Castle returns to the 12th precinct to help with the case of a murdered toy store executive but things go awry when he goes on TV to be interviewed about the release of his latest Nikki Heat novel, Raging Heat. Unfortunately the interviewer only wants to discuss his disappearance and whether or not it was all a publicity stunt. To prove her wrong and hopefully garner more leads, Rick offers a $250,000 reward for information about where he was.

The reward pays off when a couple who had been honeymooning in Montreal spotted Castle and Jenkins in the background of one of their photos. With Beckett working a homicide, Rick and Alexis head north and use the #38 key to open a safe deposit box that holds memory cards for Kate, Martha and Alexis. On them Rick says that if they're seeing these he's probably dead and that he loves them.

But when Tori gets an address from the video footage, Rick goes to Montreal alone and gets the shock of his life when Jenkins tells him that he's the one who asked to forget everything that happened. Watch Castle Season 7 Episode 2 online here at TV Fanatic.
