Recap

While running with Ben, Maria flashes back to 2019 in El Salvador, which she fled after her teacher father was killed by a gang. Ben's pickup develops a flat. They are 27 miles from the nearest border town. Dante confronts Silvio about Maria's attempt to leave. Maria tells Ben that Dante's family is after her unborn son. Ben coaches Maria on what to say during her asylum application. Trackers on dirt bikes are drawing nearer. Ben tapes floor mats over their feet so they won't leave footprints. Ben stashes Maria in a cave. Then he goes to leave footprints to throw off the trackers. They find the headphones Ben had planted. Ben and Maria disable the trackers' bikes and take their water. Still the trackers aren't far behind them. Ben spots the tracker's leader. Maria finds corpses. They trade clothes with two of the corpses to leave for the trackers. They find the border wall. Ben cuts a hole in it with a reciprocating saw and they get to U.S. soil just before the trackers catch up with them. Two of the Zamora thugs find them but Ben takes out both. Garrett arrives. But then Ben receives a video showing two strange men entering Katie's room. Then he gets a call telling him to return to his truck. He sends Maria with Garrett and heads back to Mexico. The tracker leader meets him at the truck. He is met by Sultan at a bullfighting ring. El Catrin wants to blackmail Ben into working for him, to keep his family safe. El Catrin tells Dante he arranged for his son to be born a U.S. citizen. Two Homeland Security agents investigate the bodies Ben left in his wake. Dante set the cabin on fire. Ben collapses.

Maria: If you had listened, we could have come across in a fucking car.

Maria: Far?
Ben: Take only what you need.
