Once the Second Massachusetts makes it outside the city, Tom and Hal want to return to rescue Ben. But Weaver first tasks them with securing an armory. They run into trouble there in the form of humans who have no interest in a resistance. They just want to wreak havoc, as they take Tom and his team hostage. They are led by John Pope.

But a series of events lead to the team escaping, largely due to the help of Sarah, a woman who Pope and his squad took hostage and forced to do terrible things. She is now part of the Second Massachusetts, while Pope is apprehended by the team.

The end of the episode centers on Tom, Hal and company heading back into town. It's time to bring Ben home.
