Sir freaks out when he realizes that Gabi has called someone and reminds her that if she tells someone the truth, she'll be in trouble too.

We're presented with flashbacks to the day she was taken, six hours before, where young Gabi finishes up a rousing presentation on poetry to the delight of Sir/Hugh.

It's the last day of school, and young Gabi seems visibly upset that her father couldn't make it to her presentation. Sir offers his apologies just when Gabi's father walks in and apologizes. Sir is annoyed at how excited Gabi is.

Gabi called Dhan, and  he shows up right away. She doesn't say anything but prompts him toward the open basement door where Dhan walks down and sees Sir chained up and walking from behind the shadows. Sir says he remembers Dhan.

Dhan apparently was the one who found Sir and followed him for Gabi.

Zeke is working out at home when he gets alerts of a woman outside in the neighborhood. She keeps knocking on random people's houses and crying out for help.

She finally reaches his, and he shouts out to her to come his way. She makes her way to the back and collapses into his arms.

Dhan is livid. He recounts what happen nine months ago. Apparently, Gabi came to him when her father died and said she wanted to make Sir pay. She had him track Sir down and lure him into the farm house.

He assumed she would turn him in, but when he realized she hadn't, he thought she killed him.

Dhan is hurt and angry because he feels like everything that they've gone through and all the progress and growth he's made in the past year is a lie because of what she's been keeping from him.

He's also angry because he could understand her killing Sir when she found him but as someone who was caged up underground himself, he finds her being just like the monsters they fight unforgivable.

Gabi called him because she wanted him to kill Sir and he refuses because he's different than he was before and credits her and the company for that, but now it feels like it's all a lie.

Gabi acknowledges his growth and that she was wrong for the request and they're interrupted by Zeke calling them both because of the case he just caught.

Gabi doesn't want what she's done to stifle Dhan's growth and set him back.

The woman wakes up when Gabi is there and starts to panic. She tells them to cut off the shackles she has around her neck, which they do, but she doesn't remember her name.

She recounts an evil lizard that kidnapped her on a spaceship and held her captive.She says that she's been drugged. Zeke finds out that her name is Ayesha Carter.

He said that on her social media page she stopped posting two months ago, which is probably when she was taken. She starts to pass out and appears to have a seizure.

Dhan is still at Gabi's house, sitting on the floor outside of the basement as Sir assesses that he's there to kill him.

He taunts Dhan from downstairs, saying that Gabi called him to kill Sir because she can't do it herself since she still loves Sir and can't go through with it.

He also tells Dhan that Gabi needs him and that he's the real reason she can solve all those cases since they're not smart enough to do it. He plays into Dhan's doubts and refers to Gabi, their savior being the big bad wolf.

Ayesha's seizure is due to a drug overdose. Gabi updates Margaret on things but is noticeably vague about where Dhan is and claims she gave him the day off. Margaret appears to notice.

The doctor assumes that Ayesha had a night of fun that turned into an overdose but the drug she had is why she would have paranoid delusions and that's why she has amnesia.

Ayesha keeps mentioning her other friends who she says are missing and maintains that there were lizards who took her and seems convinced by what she says.

Gabi reaches out to Dhan, but he hasn't responded back and Margaret still notices all of this.

Trent finds out that Ayesha worked as an assistant where she attacked someone unprovoked.

Margaret notes that it seems unlike her, but Dhan waltzes into the room and implies that people aren't always who we think they are. Shockingly the girl that Ayesha supposedly attacked at work is one of her friends.

Gabi tries to talk to Dhan, but he refuses. And Margaret asks him if he's okay, but he firmly states he doesn't want to talk about and focuses on the case.

Gabi talks to Ayesha's anger management counselor who says that Ayesha is a sweet girl who was defending herself against the girls at work who bullied her. She said that Ayesha is an empath, quirky, and eccentric.

Lacey talks to the friends and coworkers, one of whom described Ayesha as a nutjob basically. The friends tell Lacey that they aren't her friends and the photos on Ayesha's social media page are photoshopped.

Ayesha's therapist says that she has a tendency to embellish. But she's inclined to agree with Ayesha. She said that the lost off her aunt is what triggered her behavior and the attack that day.

The mention of someone acting out of character after a trauma as severe as a loss seems to resonant with Gabi.

Margaret recognizes the clothes that they brought from Ayesha's place as costumes from a book series where the main character's friends are  Nova and Estrella, the friends Ayesha says are missing.

The villain from the book sounds like what Ayesha was describing and she updates Zeke and tells him that her friend Estrella has a similar background and they look like they can be sisters.

Gabi heads back to the basement to see Sir. He is upset with her for exposing everything and gets in her head about their connection and being the only one who understands her.

He brings up that he understood her better than her father and then admits that he lied about her father not searching for her. He admits that her father searched for her tirelessly and even came to Sir a couple of times and discussed the lack of media attention surrounding her disappearance and saw Sir as an ally.

He tells Gabi that even her father used to marvel at how someone like him ended up with such a brilliant daughter and that if her disappearance was a twisted way of the universe taking back something he never should've had.

Gabi strikes back at him, concluding that he coudl've alleviated her father's pain but didn't. She tells him that today will be his last day alive no matter what and that he'll die knowing that his mother was right about him being broken and  unlovable.

A phone call interrupts this exchange and Sir seems visibly shaken, rattled, affected by her words enough that the phone vibration startles him.

Zeke tells them that they found the field that would've fit with the book that Ayesha talked about, and there is a girl there wearing a similar outfit with the same shackles around her neck, dead, in a field of flowers.

Gabi concludes that the killer is targeting Black women who are into the Jupiter book series and stalks the message boards and such to use to his advantage.

They set up a press conference right on the field. Gabi explains that Shawniece was stabbed 50 times and thrown in the field.

Gabi taunts the killer and tells them that she's coming for them in the press conference and Trent is alarmed by this and asks Dhan what she's doing. He states that reckless Gabi is a thing now, and it's not a joking matter.

There are still two women missing.

It's another rave party related to the book that night and they plan to go.

Dhan and gabi argue at the party. He's upset that she let Sir help with the cases and tainted the thing that they all used for their healing and gave him some form of redemption through that.

Zeke pores over the footage of Ayesha and sees that she was hiding from a specific truck.

Zeke calls her and warns of a white truck but the killer kidnaps her and throws her into the truck.

The others start looking for her after Zeke tells them what happened and that Gabi called out for them and Dhan specifically. Margaret is upset and lashes out at Dhan for not being with her when he was supposed to be.

Margaret is upset and can't bear losing someone else.

Zeke tries to go outside to help but can't.

Dhan brings Gabi's file to Sir for help and Sir freaks out wondering what happened to her.

Dhan tells Sir that he'll help him because if Gabi doesn't survive, he'll kill Sir without second thought. Sir wants to be released.

Gabi wakes up in a dark place with a box over her head with spaceship effects. Estrella and Nova are there and still alive. She updates them and says she was trying to find them.

They tell her that he keeps the lizard mask on even when he rapes them.

Sir tells Dhan based on the stab wounds on Shanice that there were two different killers one more dominant. He surmises that there's one male killer and a female and that flames on head means she's a redhead.

Dhan runs off with this information and Sir freaks out and tries to free himself.

Estrella uses the book language to ask Gabi about if she has family and such and Gabi tries to ask Nova a question but she says she doesn't speak the language. She wonders why Nova is there then.

Gabi realizes that Nova is lying. she's not being held captive, and she's an accomplice.

She cops to being married to the killer. He takes his mask off.

Midnight Jupiter world.

The team figure out where they're taking Gabi and the other woman. Police already found bodies i the couple's homes and such.

Gabi fights Ken and Estrella tries to help.

The police show up in time Dhan beats the crap out of Ken until Gabi tells she's okay and to stop.

The police arrest the couple.

The others hug and reunite with Gabi and Dhan comes up to her and hugs her too.

They reunite Ayesha and Estrella.

Lacey shows up at Zeke's place. He tells her that he tried to leave. He's emotional and crying and upset at himself that he still couldn't walk out the door. Shes comforts him and reminds him that he helped.

Margaret notes that the wall is full and they get to start a new wall.

Trent texts Gabi and says he needs to see her when she's in her office late. Dhan drops in to talk to her. He tells her how upset he was when she was taken and that he couldn't lose her. He tells her her went to Sir and he helped him find Gabi and that he gets it now.

In the flashback, Gabi went back to school that day for something and bumps into Sir. She tells him that she spent the day with her father and that they're going to dinner later. She just went there to pick up a book and she hugs him and says she'll see him in the fall.

He invites her to see first editions of all his favorite books and he promises to have her back in time to see her father. That's how she was lured to the farmhouse.

Gabi apologizes to Dhan. Tells him that she's going to tell the others the truth and turn Sir over to Trent. She marvels at the good they've doen and what they built and notes that the next day everything will change.
