As they prepare for another exciting holiday season, Gale receives bad news. Her latest MRI shows that she's living on borrowed time.

Prepared for the worst, Gale decides to make this Christmas her last with HSC, and with the shopping channel's full support and a blank check to make it happen, she and her producer, Amanda, plan on a bus tour, hitting all the top spots, including Gale's hometown.

The caveat is that Gale must agree to take a nurse on the road with her to ensure she's healthy every step of the way.

Gale plans on a big adventure that doesn't bring Amanda into her health loop.

Travis met Amanda by accident. Amanda got set up on a blind date, looking only for a pea coat, which Travis had on his chair. She walked right up and started talking, not allowing Travis to get a word in edgewise.

He was smitten instantly, but when her real date, Michael, appeared, she was so embarrassed, and they parted ways.

Travis is the nurse who accompanies Gale and Amanda on their road trip.

All of the fun to be had occurs between Travis and Amanda, from donut decorating contests to cookie-baking contests.

Naturally, Gale is reconsidering her life choices, and one of them is letting go of James, her high school sweetheart and one-time fiance.

She's shocked when he surprises her at one of their stops, but she decides to hold him at arm's length since she sees the light at the end of her tunnel beckoning.

After Travis and Amanda grow closer, they finally kiss, and when she goes inside the bus, she finds his medical bag. It's time to demand answers.

Once everything is out in the open, Amanda and Travis's journey to each other's hearts continues, and Amanda can't help but hope that Gale will find love before it's too late.

She arranges for James to visit again, and this time, with Amanda and Travis's support, Gale embraces a future with James, even if it might be shorter than most.
