Erik Heller is sitting in a chair in Romania, 2003.

He leaves and goes to a prison or a hospital and takes a baby. The guards find him and he takes them down.

He escapes with his baby but is still being chased. He meets up with someone and they take off in a car.

Heller and his wife are in a hotel with the baby.

Someone finds him. It's Marissa. He and the wife take off.

Helicopters are chasing them and start shooting. The couple go off-road.

Heller makes a decision to drive into the forest and cross the border to escape, but he helicopter finds them and shoots causing them to crash.

The mom is dead. Baby survives. As the agents watch from the helicopter, the car explodes but they check it out anyway.

Montage of Hanna training with her father. She's dressing a deer when her father "attacks". She gets the upper hand. He's proud.

At dinner, Erik tells Hanna how long he was standing behind her before she noticed. They talk about other things. He's quizzing her.

In bed, Hanna discovers she's just gotten her first period.

The next morning while sharpening her blade, she spots a plane and follows it. She comes upon a grove of trees with red spray painting around the trunks.

She continues her training.

Hanna is exploring when she comes upon a guy cutting down trees. He gives her some candy which she's never had before and introduces himself. He's going to call his father to help her but she attacks him. He leaves and asks him not to tell anyone.

Hanna meets with the boy again. He takes her for a ride on his cart and she's loving it. He tells her about cell phones and text messaging which she has no clue about.

They're in a satellite dish when they get busted. Hanna gets away and escapes home. She tells her father what happened and about how he wanted to "touch" her.

He shows her a pic of Marissa and says they need to leave. She tells him she's ready. They need to find her before she finds them.

Marissa gets information about Hanna and the boy, Arvo. She knows it's Heller and wants to be in the loop.

Hanna wake up her father as they are surrounded. Marissa is coming to get them and they gather their stuff to leave.

The agents invade their house but they are long gone. Sill, there are guys in the woods looking for them. The soldiers are ordered to kill the father but to keep the girl alive.

Hanna and Erik agree to split up and meet back at a previously arranged site.

Hanna has the dead soldier's walkie and hears they spotted his dad and is going to shoot him. She calls them to help her and they grab her and tells a story. Marissa is watching everything.

She orders a shoot on site policy for Erik and tells her aide that if anyone asks, Hanna does not exist.

Erik hears the helicopters and know they have his daughter. She's being taken away.
