- At the police station, Spoon and Mickey shoptalk and piece together everything that they know about Ashley.
- Ema tries to scrub off the butterfly tattoo that she has on her shoulder, but it doesn't work.
- Shira shows up to get Mickey out of jail.
- Shira's old friend Hannah bumps into her at the police station. She's married to the Chief.
- Shira tells him that his mother will be out of the hospital soon.
- Rachel is paranoid when she still has the gun Ashley had and hears noises outside. Someone was at her gate.
- Hannah is annoyed that Chief Taylor never told her about Shira returning to town.
- Mickey asks Mrs. Friedman about Ashley's disappearance and Mrs. Friedman tells him she got word that Ashley withdrew from school.
- Friedman reads the interview that Mr. Vollmer (beadered guy) has resigned abruptly.
- The trio visit the hospital where the man was attacked who they initially thought was Ashley. The wife tells them that the man who attaked her husband had an octopus tattoo on his face.
- Mickey notices the same baseball cap that Dylan was wearing in his room.
- Shira tells Mickey that Dylan was Brad's best friend.
- Mickey Opens up to Ema about his mother being in rehab for her depression and so forth whens he drops by to visit him and they go on the walk.
- Ema wants to show him her tattoo but they see Sunglasses man watching them from a distance.
- Mickey chases after the guy and the guy tells him that he's not ready for the answers and tell no one that they spoke or she'll kill his friend.
- ema never gets around to telling Mickey about the tattoo.
- They go to pick up Kitty, but they get a warning that they have to be easy on Kitty.
- Shira offers to give Mickey and his mother space while she spends a few nights in the hotel.
- Mrs. Friedman searches Mr. V's office and finds pictures of Ashley.
- Mickey tells his mother how he feels guilty about his father's death because if they hadn't moved to the States for him, maybe he would't have died.
- But Kitty reassures him that isn't true and promises to make his favorite dinner.
- In one of the photos of Ashley, Mickey notices that she looks terrified.
- They can see from the photo that Whitney posted on a social media network that the guy Ashley saw was the man with the octopus on his face.
- Ema brings the boys to a tattoo artist that she knows who did the butterfly tattoo, but he doesn't know who did Octo Face's work.
- Agent tells Ema that the butterfly he felt he had to put on her was a butterfly of a goddess who is known for protecting children.
- He tells Ema that she could be the protector of children like the goddess ont the one who needs protecting.
- Kitty didn't show up for her rehab, and Mickey doesn't know where his mother is.
- Mickey and Shira track down where the car is headed, and it's headed towards the falls. The car is empty and they still haven't found Kitty. Shira fears she may have jumped.
- Troy searches for information on Shira after eavesdroppig on his parents arguing.
- Agent searches through the tattoo book and finds the photo of Octo Face. He burns it.
- Sunglasses Man breaks into Shira and Mickey's place and copies everything off Mickey's laptop barely missing Spoon who drops in to visit.
- Mickey finds his mother crying near the Falls. She apologizes because she can't do any of it anymore and thought she was better, but she isn't.
- Friedman shows up at Bat Lady's house and sees where a fresh grave was buried on the property where they had Mr. V buried.
- Rachel goes to a locker at a train station and finds a go bag filled with money and multiple ids that Ashley had but Octo Face stops her.
