A teen boy, Reese Holland,recalls a murder scene while under hypnosis. Danny's sister Bridget is visiting Hawaii for a company retreat. Chin is concerned because he hasn't heard from Sarah in more than a week. Kono tells Chin that he may have pushed too hard investigating Sarah's new family. Five-0 is called in because Reese took police to where a body is buried. The body turns out to be Maggie Reed, a star softball player who disappeared 10 years ago, when Reese would have been 8 years old. Danny thinks his sister is having an affair with a co-worker, but McGarrett disagrees.The original detective on Maggie's case, Pearson Yang, says Maggie's ex-boyfriend, Travis Wilson, was his prime suspect. Travis thought Maggie ran away without him. Reese agrees to go back under hypnosis in hopes of seeing more detail, and he keeps chanting "Always fresh, always cold." That was the slogan for an ice-cream truck. McGarrett and Danny are interrogating the owner when Travis comes in to confess to Maggie's murder, but McGarrett doesn't buy it and proves he couldn't have done it. Danny and Bridget have a heated discussion, and she storms off. Steve's theory is that Reese was a passenger in a car that struck Maggie. Reese's father Fred filed an insurance claim the day after Maggie's death, claiming the car hit a boar. Under hypnosis, Reese sees his mother burying Maggie after she kills the injured woman with a rock. Danny goes to apologize to Bridget, and they end up watching Smokey and the Bandit and eating French fries.
