Recap

Reyes and Whalen pose as a gay couple in a club to try to bust a drug dealer. One of the bad guys insists on dancing with Whalen and spills a drink on him when Whalen refuses. A guy named Eric says that the guy did the same thing to him earlier.

Reyes gets in to talk to the dealer and signals the unit. Someone starts ODing just as Reyes tries to make the bust. The dealer runs away and Stabler chases him. So does a bad guy who beats the suspect.

Another undercover has lost consciousness in the bar.

The cop is the one Whalen met. He has a super high amount of GHB in his system but is awake by a miracle.

Bell sends Stabler away and tells Eric she knows he works for the 4th. She's friends with Chang. She says they will find out who drugged him. He wants to keep his private life separate and doesn't want this investigation because he'd be outed.

The drug dealer denies having anything to do with Eric's attack and says lots of people sell G. He won't tell them who he sold G to and wants a lawyer.

Bell wonders who that guy was who jumped Paolo outside the club.

Jet has found the guy who beat Paolo on security cams. Bell wants the team to canvas the city for him.

Bell sees an old friend who has a bar. He IDs the suspect as Dominique.

Bell and Jet go to see Dominique who tells Bell to cuff him.

Stabler questions Dominique who says it felt good to get justice. He says they don't know? Gay men have been targeted, drugged, and robbed and the NYPD is ignoring it. He says they left him in the street to die and stole 50K, all the money he had. Everyone who reports it doesn't hear anything back. Everyone knows Paolo sells G so he went looking for him

There are at least a dozen cases. Stabler says no one realized these cases were connected. GHB messed with the victims' memories too. Bell wants these cases open since someone is targeting the gay commjnity.

Several men talk to the cops and say that the detectives they spoke to have done nothing.

Bell wonders how she missed this when she's gay. She says this is not acceptable.

Meanwhile, a guy named Alex attempts to do business with some mob boss who wants more money and says Alex looks like his father.

Bell talks to Chang, who is surprised that Eric is one of the victims. Bell asks if it's really that bad. Chang says it's different for men. She gives Bell all info she has about the robberies, including a footprint from a size 10 boot.

Reyes finds that a man named Robert Petrillo, who is well known to the unit, owns all the clubs where victims were hit.

Petrillo denies knowing anything and says he was found innocent in previous cases. He made profits from these clubs so why would he screw this up?

And older gay guy and young one are together. They discuss how the young guy was cagey on the app. The young guy wants a tour of the bedroom. The older one says laying down would be good right now and collapses. The young guy robs him and starts wiping things down but there's a knock on the door. It's three other robbers. They are searching for a safe.

This time the victim dies. The ME tells Bell it was a GHB/alcohol overdose.

A man tells Bell he told Mark not to go to the club but Mark wouldn't listen. He wants Bell to get whoever did this.

.Nothing yet on the boot print. Bell goes outside and meets Eric. He says she might want to see this. His watch is missing and a guy at the club said he had a collection of watches. He also tells Bell he's not ready to be out and be judged and skipped over for assignments and promotions.

The cops talk to a pawn shop owner who has security footage of the robber trying to pawn the watch. Next, the cops find the guy but he decides to run. Reyes knocks him over with a full trash bag and arrests him.

The suspect lawyered up but has admitted to being part of a crew. Also they found a poster of a gay party at a club. Bell wants to reach out to someone who can help.

Robert gets into  Alex's car and wants to know what's up with the robberies. Alex thought Robert would be proud of him while Robert is dealing with gambling debts and other shady stuff. Alex is Robert's son and Robert wants better for him. He also wants Alex to shut down this operation.

Bell calls Eric in. She and Stabler want him to look at mug shots and help them set up an undercover app.

Eric is introduced to the others and helps Jet with a fake dating profile for Stabler. He also flirts with Stabler.

So far nobody is taking the bait. Bell is getting upset. Eric offers to join Stabler on the mission.

At the club, Eric says everyone looks familiar. He looks around nervously. Reyes walks through the club too and Jet looks through profiles.  Stabler's phone buzzes and Stabler goes over to the robbers. Eric tells Bell this is the guy for the club. Bell tells him not to approach.Bell calls on Reyes for help since the bad guy wants to dance.

Reyes takes video and the cops ID Alex.

Stabler walks away, and one of the robbers drugs his drink. Bell texts Stabler. However, one of the robbers recognizes Eric and the scene quickly becomes chaotic. However, Bell arrests Alex.

Alex claiims he was only having fun at a party when Eric punched him and he could sue the NYPD. Stabler and Bell confront him with their evidence. Alex claims that drugging Stabler's drink doesn't mean anything and that nothing will stick. Stabler inform him that his dad can't help him.  Alex says his dad wanted him to run the clubs clean. But his dad owes debts everywhere. Bell and Stabler insist Alex tell them who his father owes. He says Frank Moretti.

The cops watch while Moretti forces Alex to get in a ca with him.

Bell and Stabler follow and listen in. They learn Moretti is changing the deal. Bell orders everyone to stay close but not move in until she says.

Alex finds his dad in a warehouse. The cops sneak up.

Moretti wants Robert to turn over all five clubs or he'll kill Alex. Robert says Moretti wants to kill them both. Moretti pulls a gun on Robert. Moretti says Robert uses the clubs to launder money and make a fortune. Alex is angry and lunges at Moretti who finds the wire and shoots  at Robert. The cops burst in and arrest Moretti who says Alex made a big mistake.

Bell says Alex will get Murder 1 and a possible hate crime. Stabler thinks they did good. He asks if Bell is okay. She says cases like these are hard and  the day in day out can be a lot. Stabler doesn't think he'll ever know how it is for her. But he's here for her.

Bell takes Eric to a gay/lesbian bar. He asks her how she manages to be both a cop and herself. Bell says she realized she hasn't been herself. Ever since she came out she's watched everything she said and did because she was already facing pressure from being Black so she toned down the gay. But she does believe it will get easier.

Stabler: I didn't know this was still an issue.
Bell: It's complicated. As a whole, the department has gotten much better, but can't say that for everybody.

Eric: How are you gonna write this up?
Stabler: You know the routine. We'll say we were there.
