The Organized Crime team is assigned the task of protecting a diplomat from India who is set to make a speech at the UN. The situation could get volatile because India has so far stayed neutral in the Ukraine/Russia conflict and may be prepared to take a stand, which will affect global relations.

Stabler notices something is off and opts to drive the diplomat himself. A car in the motorcade blows up, killing the driver and injuring Diya's assistant.

Stabler's investigation is interrupted when his mother calls. She went for a walk and got disoriented and lost.

While watching Mama Stabler, Jet looks at photos of the suspect. Mama Stabler notes that he has Russian cigarettes in his pocket.

Stabler's investigation puts him constantly at odds with Diya's security guard, Veer, but it appears it's more than personal: Veer is involved in buying stolen semiconductors that can be used to make weapons. Stabler needs to arrest him, but the man has diplomatic immunity.
