Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 7 introduces a new character and a self-contained case.

When Organized Crime attempts to catch a woman who is helping smuggle gold, she turns out to be a foreign agent named Tia Leonetti that Stabler knows from his time in Italy. Bell is not happy and is suspicious of the woman, but Stabler vouches for her. When he was at his lowest point in Italy, she encouraged him. He doesn't have time to tell the whole story.

Meanwhile, Leonetti tells Stabler she's here to catch Abramov, a mob boss who will only be in the US for 48 hours. She almost had him once before but he killed the family of her witness. She feels responsible.

Leonetti tells the team they need someone on the inside with Abramov. Reyes volunteers. While with Abramov, he meets a waitress and believes she is the key to getting Abramov. He meets the waitress on the street and she tells him she was trafficked -- smuggled into the country and taken blindfolded to a factory where she was forced to work long hours with no breaks. Abramov killed the factory foreman and she witnessed it.

Jet finds out enough details to find a location, leading Leonetti to offer her a job in Italy. The cops raid the warehouse where the girls are believed to be kept and find only a skull in a furnace.

The gold dust in the warehouse is traced back to Sudan. The ambassador claims he can't help but lets them see a flight manifest, which alerts them to Abramov's plan to leave the country.
