The SVU detectives take on the Catholic Church on Law & Order: SVU Season 17 Episode 18. Olivia works with Tucker to clear his name, while Mike Dodds takes over SVU for the duration of the case. Sister Nina calls Olivia to say she's done and soon after mysteriously vanishes. The detectives soon learn that Nina and the girl she is traveling with have been kidnapped . The girl, Natalia, is forced to take a heroin overdose but survives. She tells the detectives that she was warned if she tried to run away Nina would be shot. Nina was raped and shot anyway. The detectives soon find Nina's body in the woods. A priest is implicated.

Mike sends the detectives to the Catholic school where no one will talk to them. Sonny and Fin blackmail a judge into giving them warrants to look into the priests' finances and find out Father Eugene has a loft that he can't possibly afford on his salary. Further investigation determines that Eugene is having a relationship with a male domamatrix.

Eventually, it comes out that Eugene was being blackmailed into helping traffick female students into the sex industry. However, the Monsignor takes the heat off himself by accusing the NYPD of being responsible for the trafficking!

Tucker is ready to give up, and Dodds Senior practically insists on it, but then Sonny finds a way to get to Eugene.
