Law & Order: SVU Season 20 Episode 16 revolves around a serial child molester whose behavior contributed to the suicide of a 22-year-old kid.

When Micah Fuller commits suicide, SVU is called in because he had a bunch of photos of what appears to be naked 12-year-old boys. SVU assumes he was a child molester who committed suicide out of guilt but when they question the parents of the kids he worked with at a local bookstore, nobody has any evidence their child was molested.

Micah's parents arrive and ID the photos -- they're of Micah himself. The mother is shocked. The father knows Micah was a victim.

Benson talks to Micah's ex, who says they broke up because Micah couldn't bring himself to have sex with her and gives them the name of one of his friends. His friend finds a suicide note from Micah in his email. Micah said it was Gary's fault. Billy doesn't know who Gary is but he remembers when they were 12 Micah loved magic and then suddenly lost interest in it.

The team's investigation leads to Gary Dolan, magic shop owner, who denies knowing who Micah is. Stone can't get a search warrant without more evidence. Benson goes back to Micah's parents and the dad says that when the mom was out of town, he had to take Micah to the ER because he poured bleach on his genitals.

This is apparently enough to get a warrant and Benson finds a photo of a youth baseball team in Gary's apartment. She recognizes Brian Cassidy as one of the kids in the photo.

Benson goes to see Cassidy who denies having been molested by Coach Gary and is interrupted by a much younger woman who he says is a neighbor but appears to be a girlfriend. Benson goes.

Stone calls Cassidy, then goes to stake out Gary's apartment, where he catches Cassidy planning to kill Gary and talks him out of it.

Stone wants Cassidy to testify but he refuses and also is adamant that Benson can't know because she's the only person who saw any good in him ever. Cassidy comes up with another idea. He suggests they visit some ex-teammates.

The first guy is a gay guy who is offended by the questions and refuses to help. The second is a guy named Leo who apparently has a criminal record. Leo decides to testify for his son's sake.

When Leo comes to the station, Benson realizes what's what and takes off to arrest Gary and then confront Cassidy, who isn't interested in her help.

Rollins asks her about it and she's frustrated that Cassidy didn't tell her when she was his girlfriend but told Stone who he knew for five seconds. Rollins says Cassidy is a victim and it's not Benson's job to fix him.

In court, Leo's testimony is thrown out when he admits he had a drink and the defense attorney claims he is drunk. In the hallway outside, Cassidy shows up and tries to beat up Gary but Benson stops him. The defense attorney thinks Stone staged this and storms off.
