A samurai shows up at the Salvatore School and the teenagers have no clue what to do.
Josie knows Japanese and asks about what he's doing there. He tells them her about his tussle with Malivore in 1308 and how he woke up in the town square.
He says he absorbed the Oni but couldn't kill himself with it as part of his body. That did not go down well with anyone.
Hope finally opened up to some about her past and who she is, and it did not sit well with some.
She took Landon away from the town square to make sure he was safe. He confronted her about seeing her face every single time he died, and it caused an awkward scene.
Josie took the dark magic she absorbed from the Oni back to the school and Vardemus said that he would help her get rid of it for her. He used a vial and took it out of her body.
He also tried to find out more details about Alaric and got him out of the school for good.
