After the explosion, the Major Crimes unit goes over what happened. They question Lisbeth and her sister, who don't give them much information about Ortiz's whereabouts. The manhunt is on for Ortiz, who is now believed to be behind all the bombings.

Flynn asks Provenza when he can return to the field but Provenza says his health problems make him a risk and he'd better hope Sharon becomes the Assistant Chief.

Gus and Rusty have another argument and Gus tells Rusty he'd better go to law school in L.A.

The investigation into the bombings continues. The team realizes that they need to talk to the convict again and try to cut a deal with him so that he will tell them about Ortiz. Wilks is reluctant to talk in exchange for his sentence being cut in half but eventually is persuaded to do so. He tells them that Ortiz believed he was railroaded by the system and wants revenge on the LAPD.

The cops review what they know. Ortiz claimed innocence for 11 years but at this point is not innocent as he is planting bombs all over the city. The team gets Lisbeth to confess to her boyfriend's murder by asking for details about Ortiz's knife that only the murderer would know. Lisbeth is brought to the MCU as a safety precaution since Ortiz is after her.

Ortiz's storage facility is searched. He has left the words I AM INNOCENT. He has also left 22 cell phone casings. The phones have been turned into bombs to attack every division of the LAPD.

Buzz works as fast as he can to disable all the phones. Ortiz is traced to the rooftop of City Hall. Sharon calls Ortiz. He wants to talk to his ex-wife. The team arrests Lisbeth and he yells at her.

Flynn goes to City Hall and confronts Ortiz. He reveals he's planted another bomb somewhere in the Major Crimes Unit.

Sharon realizes the bomb is in Lisbeth's luggage and evacuates the area just in time. Flynn sees the explosion. After Ortiz is arrested, he manages to get in touch with Sharon and confirm everyone is all right.

Rusty tries to talk to Gus' boss and realizes the guy is trying to get Gus to sleep with him b y offering him promotions etc. Later he tells Gus to go to Napa and they will try to work it out long distance, while secretly fearing Gus will leave him for Aiden.

Fritz calls Sharon into the Assistant Chief's office. Mason has been promoted to Chief. He promotes Sharon to Commander and tells her he will want to change Major Crimes for the better.
