On Major Crimes Season 4 Episode 4, the Marjor Cirmes division plans to cleberate their freedom together on Fourth of July weekend with a Dodgers' game and live fireworks. However, their plans quickly change when Provenza and Flynn are required to let Buzz ride along with them as a reserve officer. Buzz finds a dead body that Provenza is convinced is a suicide and insists on calling it in. Worse yet, when Raydor gets there she declares that the investigation is on.

The cops race against time to complete the case before it's time to leave for the big game, and only Buzz seems to be concerned about getting justice for the victim. In the meantime, the investigation leads to yet another group of colorful suspects, including an older couple that can't stop arguing, a bride that can't stop eating and a sister of the bride who needs a variety of psychiatric medications to keep going.

While the detectives hurry to try to close the case, Rusty is taking his time with his next step in the Alice case. Some chats with an anonymous source lead him to the pass code for Alice's phone.
