Claire is dressed up as a spider. She is working on the web and Phil is a fly. She goes to answer the phone. Claire's mom died. Jerry called to let them know. Mitch shows up as prince harry. They both try to hug claire but she's in a spider costume. Jerry said Dede had a heart problem, but not sure if that's how she died. Mitch and Claire want to drink and tell stories. They don't want touchy feely stories. They want space from Cam and Phil.

Jay and Gloria showed up. He's struggling to find good things to say about Dede. Mitch talked to her recently and it was the perfect goodbye.

Gloria is upset that Jay is sad.

Alex is upset that no one is reacting like she thinks they should. Gloria: I know this is going to sound crazy, but I have always worried that when DeDe died she was going to come back and haunt me. Maybe it's because she whispered it to me at my wedding.

Claire and Mitch are handing out candy. Mitch was thinking about a great Halloween with mom. Claire listens but still hands out candy. Claire has bad memories and Mitch has good ones. Claire and Mitch are snapping at Phil and Cam for no reason. They asked to be left alone and when they did that, they were yelled at for that.

Phil: I am totally confused about what we're supposed to do.

Phil and Cam are trying to figure out how to help Mitch and Claire. They decide to go get ice cream. Somebody took Jay's sandwich and he's upset about it.

Alex's fireman boyfriend shows up to support Alex. Alex is taking it hard.

Gloria finds the Dede statue in the fridge. Twice.

Alex starts having sex with her boyfriend. Haley is eating tons and Luke is cracking jokes.Haley and Luke walk in on Alex having sex.

Claire: Mitchell! Just because mom is dead doesn't mean she was a saint!

Alex comes down. They are all talking about how different people deal with death.

Phil and Cam are stuck in West Hollywood. They start eating the ice cream. They start talking about Dede. They each have nice stories to say about her.

Gloria keeps finding the statue everywhere. Gloria thanks her statue.

Claire feels guilty for being mean to Dede. The last time she talked to Dede, they fought. Claire listens to her voicemail, apologizing to her. It was a nice message in the beginning, then she starts to criticize.

Jay is talking about Dede and how she made a great sandwich. He got all choked up about a bakery she used to go to to get bread for his sandwiches that's not there anymore and he was depressed for a week after he saw that.

Lily has been messing with Gloria all day with the statues and she ate Jay's sandwich.

They're all in the livingroom hanging out. 

Phil: On the trip's final morning, Dede was found in her room. She had apparently passed peacefully in her sleep, as a smile graced her face and her hands clutched ten pages of suggestions for the hotel staff.

Claire: That is so mom.

Mitch: Easy.
