Claire and Mitchell’s mother, Dede, comes in for a surprise visit to apologize to everyone she offended with her incident at Jay and Gloria’s wedding.

Phil tries to help his son prove to Claire that he’s responsible enough for a new bike, but proves to be the irresponsible one at the site of a hot neighbor; Mitchell and Cameron bring Lily to a Mommy and Me class; Manny and Jay spend time together

Cameron and Mitchell adopt a baby, while Jay struggles with his younger wife and Claire gets annoyed with Phil’s parenting style.
