When you watch New Girl Season 4 Episode 13 online you will get to see the politics of being a vice principal. Coach becomes jealous of Ryan and decides to find a loophole for he and Jess can come out as a couple. After going through the books Coach finds the loophole and Jess comes out to the faculty. Things take a turn for the worse when she has to hear their opinions on where the classes should go on the next field trip. Unfortunately no one comes up with a good idea except Ryan who thinks the kids should have a space themed field trip and the kids would be able to drive the Mars rover. Jess of course picks his field trip, as all the others were boring or even dangerous, but the faculty revolts and accuses her of chosing favorites. Jess relents and goes with the Biology teachers idea of going out in nature, but in fact it is just going to his house and cleaning up the leaves on his property. After having a talk to Cece and Coach, who tell her she needs to stand up for herself, the next day Jess announces to everyone she is being adjective and even though she loves Ryan, the decisions she makes are not always going to please everyone.
