Recap

Young Lucy and Charles jam, singing "Angel in Flip Flops" together.

In an unknown location, Lucy narrates about returning to the Arconia.

Lucy and Charles text. She mentions she has his apartment key. She also mentions that her mother, Emma, Charles's ex, is getting married.

Lucy records a video of herself, saying she has nowhere else to go.

Charles arrives on set for the Brazzos reboot, getting applause from the crew. He makes a speech about how much it means to him to be back.

The director brings him a wheelchair, which confuses Charles. As part of the plot, Uncle Brazzos also will have dementia. The director says the studio needs to cover their asses in case Charles goes to prison.

Charles heads into his trailer, where Lucy is waiting for him.

Oliver calls Will, explaining that he can't come help with the directing. Will pleads. Oliver says he is too busy with the case.

Oliver calls for someone to hold the elevator. Someone puts their boot in the door.

Oliver is momentarily frozen. It's Teddy. Teddy laughs amiably and invites Oliver into the elevator. They ride up together. Teddy explains he is back for a few months, awaiting trial. Oliver asks Teddy how prison was. Teddy replies that it was transformative.

Oliver asks about Theo. Tedy replies that Theo is also angry, working through his feelings and coming by later.

Teddy gets out of the elevator and turns to Oliver, threatening him intensely.

Charles and Lucy return to Charles's apartment. She explains she has a three-day weekend thanks to some illegal activities of her teachers, so she thought it would be good to come to Manhattan.

Charles asks if she's excited about Emma's wedding. Lucy says it already happened. Charles asks if it was nice. Lucy is evasive.

Oliver and Mabel enter. Oliver announces that Teddy is back and out for revenge.

Mabel says Howard has some hot gossip on Nina but hasn't divulged it yet. Mabel and Oliver both stop when they see the young woman in the apartment.

Charles introduces her as Lucy, and they greet her warmly, having heard all about her. She expresses her enjoyment of the podcast.

Charles takes Mabel and Oliver aside. Charles doesn't know what to do. Lucy is older now, and she brought a bag with her.

Charles asks Mabel to talk to Lucy for him.

Charles brings Mabel to Lucy and then leaves with Oliver to give them privacy.

Lucy gushes about how Mabel is one of the coolest people on the internet. Lucy rattles off in Gen Z slang, and Mabel can't understand much of what she says. Mabel calls Charles and Oliver back in.

Charles and Oliver return with the vinyl of "Angel in Flip Flops." They play it. Charles tells them that thanks to rappers sampling the song, he makes about $200,000 a year from it.

Charles and Lucy start to make an omelet like old times. Lucy pulls a knife out of the knife rack, and it's covered in dry blood.

Oliver recognizes the knife as a prop from "MacBeats," his musical of MacBeth starring Vanilla Ice. Mabel, Charles, and Oliver explain that evidence keeps appearing in their apartments.

Charles tells Lucy she is not safe here and hands her her bag, telling her she should leave.

Lucy goes to the bathroom. The trio considers what to do with the knife. Oliver wants to wash it, but Mabel thinks it could exonerate her as her prints aren't on it.

There is a loud knocking at the door, and Oliver flings the knife up so hard it gets stuck in the ceiling.

Howard bursts in and, without seeing it, stands directly under the knife. He confesses that his black eye actually came from Nina, who punched him in the face. Howard thinks Nina could have killed Bunny.

Mabel, Charles, and Oliver silently stare at Howard. Unnerved, he asks why. They push him away from underneath the knife and out of the apartment, thanking him for the info. Howard leaves.

They hear a sound from the bathroom. Charles asks Lucy if she is okay, and Lucy tells them to wait a minute. Oliver shares a weird anecdote about his grandmother.

Lucy tells them to come in. She shows them a secret passageway in the bathroom, which explains how people have been getting in.

The four of them head down the secret passageway, where Lucy played as a child. She knows her way around. Charles wonders if it was used during prohibition. Mabel suspects it was used more for perving.

Charles tells Lucy she needs to go home and not get involved. Lucy confesses that her mother will not want to see her after she skipped out on the wedding.

Oliver asks Lucy how he can get to the sixth floor. She tells him where to find the maintenance ladder. Oliver tells them he will spy on Teddy Dimas to find out about the revenge Teddy has planned.

Lucy, Mabel, and Charles arrive at Nina's apartment. They hear Nina and her partner, Jared, discuss if they are doing the right thing and that Bunny "had to go." They hug.

Mabel and Charles notice a drawing of the Arconia with what looks like a space pod on top, which would explain why they had to get rid of Bunny. Nina and Jared start to get hot and heavy.

Charles and Mabel move away. Lucy notices that Charles has a nosebleed.

On the sixth floor, Oliver hears Teddy's voice. He climbs up and spies on Teddy and Theo, arguing heatedly. Theo now has his own lawyer. Teddy insists he has always been looking out for Theo.

Oliver records. Theo breaks down. Teddy apologizes, trying to hug Theo, telling him he is all he cares about. Theo leaves. Teddy cries, alone.

Oliver relays what he saw with Teddy and Theo to Mabel and Charles. Charles and Mabel tell Charles about the Arconia "space pod" Nina is planning, which is why they believe she killed Bunny. Unfortunately, they did not record anything.

Lucy suggests they go over to Nina's and record her in person.

Mabel, Oliver, Charles, and Lucy visit Nina with a gift basket of things from around their apartment. They ask her how she's doing since Bunny's death.

Nina's water breaks, and she starts going into labor. Mabel calls 911.

Charles keeps Nina calm by offering encouraging words about parenthood. Nina laments the loss of Bunny, saying how much she was looking forward to meeting the baby.

Nina ferociously demands that Charles find Bunny's killer. Charles is prepared to deliver the baby when the paramedics arrive at last.

As the paramedics take Nina away, Lucy and Mabel chat about Charles and how Lucy wishes Charles had been her "dad." Mabel reminisces about losing her dad when she was young.

Mabel urges Lucy to tell Charles the truth, and her reason for coming back to the Arconia.

Mabel, Charles, Lucy, and Mabel reflect on the day's events. The knife falls from the ceiling. Oliver picks it up with a plastic bag and then leaves, along with Mabel.

Alone, Lucy asks Charles about Jan. She says she thought Jan seemed like a good match for him. Lucy confesses that she and her mom have been fighting because Lucy doesn't like her new husband.

Lucy tries to convey how hard it was to be with her mom without Charles. She was happy to hear from him, but eight years was too long without contact. Charles says he was just respecting Emma's wishes.

Lucy gives him permission to text whenever. She says he's her favorite of all five of her "dads."

Oliver arrives to help with Will's Wizard Of Oz rehearsals and takes charge. He thanks Will for never giving up on him.

Charles has ordered a car for Lucy to take her back to Connecticut.

Lucy confesses that she had come to Manhattan the night of the wedding, which was the night Charles got arrested.

Flashback: Lucy is in the Arconia lobby, texting. Mabel and Charles come out of the elevator, and Lucy ducks out of sight.

Charles gets a text from Lucy, asking if he's free, but he says not tonight -- another time. Mabel and Charles head out.

Lucy uses her old key and gets into 14C, Charles's apartment. She sneaks into the secret passageway. She records her video (from the beginning of the episode). She hears a struggle and screams from Bunny's apartment.

A figure in a balaclava with a flashlight comes down the passageway. Lucy remains still and quiet. The figure shines the light but, seeing nothing, leaves. Lucy takes the opportunity to leave another way as quickly as she can.

Lucy tells Charles she is worried about him. She warns him that there is danger in the Arconia, and he needs to be on top of it. Lucy gets into the car, and Charles bids her goodbye, stressing "no detours" to the driver.

Charles visits Jan in prison, saying he needs her help with something.
