Recap

Ron gives his staff a pep talk. Kyle comes in. Ron celebrates him for getting the lead in the Nitromancer film. Kyle urges the staff to keep cool among the Hollywood crowd.

Ron orders Roman to put the posters outside, but Roman feels taunted by Kyle, a former Party Down staff member. Roman and Kyle argue about the merits of superhero movies, with Kyle comparing them to Greek myths. Ron urges Roman not to razz Kyle.

Henry Pollard talks to his wife on the phone while waiting in line to get into Kyle's party. The bouncer doesn't let him in, as Henry is not on the guest list, only a "Henny Pollarb."

Kyle finds Henry and brings him to the old crew (Constance, Lydia, Roman). Lydia expresses her joy at the reunion.

Ron appears, berating Sackson, his employee, for taking photos, but then realizes it's a Party Down reunion and joins in. Sackson is inspired.

Everyone updates how they're doing -- Lydia is now her daughter's manager, Kyle is Nitromancer, Constance is an actor/playwright/widow/heiress, and Roman is still a waiter/unpublished writer.

Famous actor Jack Botty arrives, greeting Kyle, the new kid to the extended universe. Jack also recognizes Henry as the "Are we having fun yet?" guy. Kyle asks Henry if he's still acting, to which Henry replies that he is now a high school teacher.

Kyle starts giving Sackson acting advice, but Sackson stops him, telling Kyle he is not an actor but an online content creator.

Ron takes Henry out back to show him the Party Down van and tells him about the new directions the company is taking. Ron is excited to be the big boss and owner.

Henry is happy to be outside with Ron and not in the "friends making it big" crowd of actors inside. Ron mentions how Casey Klein (Henry's former flame) got SNL, and now Henry is married to someone else.

Ron gets a concerning call from his lawyer but doesn't tell Henry what it's about.

Chaps, a friend of Kyle's, watches a video of Kyle singing with his old band Karma Rocket at Constance's wedding. Chaps says there's a rumor going around that Kyle is a Nazi. Kyle is confused.

Constance explains that it was a Jewish wedding, and the song was called "My Struggle," which was also the name of Hitler's book.

Sackson remarks that once you get big, old stuff from the past comes back to haunt you, and he has an apology video ready to go.

Kyle's old bandmates from Karma Rocket show up.

While drinking a beer at the bar, henry notices some infotainment show talking about who Casey Klein is dating. Roman remarks it could have been any of them to make it big. Roman notes he's okay if he only gets famous after death. Henry asks about Roman's sci-fi writing.

Kyle introduces Henry to Karma Rocket -- Eddie, Teddy, and Miles.

The band broke up when Kyle got cast in "Hardier Boys," even though Karma Rocket was close to getting signed. Kyle's agent, Jaff, beckons him away. Eddie and Teddy leave for other responsibilities, but Miles wants them to stick around. Henry excuses himself.

Constance greets Lydia, but Lydia is on a call, hurling obscenities. She finishes the call and joins Constance at the bar. Lydia asks if Casey will be coming, but Roman says she's too big-time.

Lydia and Constance discuss how they ship Henry and Casey, hoping they'd hook up again. Roman calls them out for "rooting" for the couple that was barely a couple, but Lydia insists it's cute.

Ron looks over his account numbers while talking with his lawyer; apparently, some money is missing.

In a back room, Henry talks to his wife on the phone. After he hangs up, he notices a woman hiding. The woman explains she was smoking and answering a work email, two things her boyfriend doesn't like.

The woman introduces herself as Evie, saying she doesn't remember his name. Henry introduces himself, saying he doesn't remember meeting her. Evie explains she's a producer and asks if he's an actor. He says he used to be.

Evie asks if he's read for any of her movies, but he hasn't. Evie throws out her cigarettes and leaves. Henry pulls a cigarette out of the packet and goes outside to smoke.

Ron emerges, punching the van. Henry asks if he's okay. Ron says he's short $10,000 and is going to lose Party Down. Henry suggests asking Constance, who is a millionaire.

Henry and Ron head back in and run into Evie, who finally remembers Henry as the "Are we having fun yet?" guy. Evie asks Ron if he's okay, pointing out his clearly broken finger. She asks if she can get him anything.

Ron says he's looking for an investor in the food service sector. Evie suggests her boyfriend, Jack Botty, who loves investing in food service stuff.

Kyle chats with Chaps, who wonders why Kyle got Nitromancer, and he didn't. Kyle insists he just worked harder.

Jaff calls Kyle over.

Ron marvels to Henry that he will soon be working with Jack Botty. Evie beckons to Ron. Ron tells Henry how he will pull Jack Botty into a deal.

Ron heads over to Evie and Jack's booth. Ron and Jack shake hands. Ron collapses from the pain and falls into the table.

Miles approaches Henry, complaining about his job at the guitar warehouse, and refers to the tattoos on his left hand. He says Kyle called him a mad genius.

Jaff asks Kyle about the Nazi thing, and Kyle assures her that he hates Nazis. Jaff says they will be fine.

Sackson works on a video in the kitchen while Kyle enters. Kyle asks if he needs to make an apology video. Sackson says he does and offers to help.

Later, in the kitchen, Sackson reviews Kyle's video. Ron enters, wadded tissue up his nose, and Penny stares. Ron grabs the phone in Sackson's hand and smashes it with a rolling pin, angry that Sackson is using a personal device on company time. The employees leave to circulate.

Constance comes to check on Ron. Ron asks Constance if she will support his small business with a loan. Constance initially balks, then offers to give it to him, and she'll be his business partner. She gives him a check for $10 million, and he explains that a grand is a thousand.

As she's leaving, Evie finds Henry, apologizing it didn't work out with Jack and Ron.

Henry heads back in to show Kyle the viral video. Kyle assures Henry he's fine -- he's got an apology video out. Sackson finds Kyle and tells him that Ron smashed Kyle's phone before he could upload the apology video.

Across the room, Jaff and Chaps are celebrating -- Chaps "got Nitromancer." Kyle approaches Jaff, who said they'd be fine collectively, not necessarily him (Jaff is also Chaps's agent).

Sackson shows Henry that the Karma Rocket video was uploaded last week by an account named "SinisterManus." Roman, overhearing, tells them it means "left hand." Henry figures out it's Miles, who blames Kyle for breaking up Karma Rocket.

Later, the bar is mostly empty. Kyle watches the news that declares he is no longer Nitromancer. Ron joins him at the bar.

Roman admits Kyle was right about superhero movies being true to life and events occurring like a Greek tragedy. Lydia and Constance whine that Casey wasn't there.

Henry bids goodbye to Kyle and Ron. Ron expresses his joy to Henry and declares that his business is on the upswing just as a news report comes on detailing the outbreak of a novel coronavirus.

Fourteen months later, Ron is living in his van. He gets a call hiring him for a gig.
