When Jake Ballard doesn't return Olivia's calls, she wonders if she's being a silly girl or if he's in some kind of trouble and in need of saving. If you watch Scandal online, you know it's the latter.

When she discovers that his last known location was the White House, she calls the President, who tells her he cannot comment and hangs up the phone. That prompts her to call everyone else she knows at the White House before eventually visiting her father. He tells her that Jake is a killer who murdered Jerry and Harrison and framed her mother for the crimes.

Olivia isn't sure if she should believe him.

Elsewhere, OPA investigates Catherine Winslow's case. She's innocent and currently behind bars for killing her daughter. Her daughter's best friend holds the key to unlocking Catherine's defense.

Huck tries to reconnect with his family, but Kim, his wife, wants him to leave. She doesn't believe his story about being a spy and being taken from them and tries to get him psychiatric help. Quinn comforts him as best she can.

David goes to Abby when he's overcome with grief because the judge's suicide was his fault. He's not sure he has what it takes to win in DC.
