Recap

The teenagers want to know why Mr. Anderson was calling Claire, and we get some much-needed intel.

She was using him to give her A's for all of her papers and was worried about him telling the cops.

He laughs and tells her he doesn't know if he told them anything.

Xavier, Nicole, and Simon all get the video of them arguing about it and they have to find a way to prove there is something amiss.

Simon is determined to put Claire in the frame because, as he put it, her past with Maddie alone makes her a suspect.

This doesn't sit well with Maddie, but her secrecy adds another element to the story.

Maddie gets close to Wally as she tries to come to terms with their past. Maddie says that she has to find a way to move on or she runs the risk of keeping her mother without closure forever.

Maddie and Simon realize there's another room in the school basement -- a fallout shelter. That causes a lot of problems for them when they realize someone else died down there, and shockingly, there's a path out of the school, where the body could have been taken.

Nicole looks suspect when she opens her trunk and closes it quickly.

School Spirits Season 1 Episode 5 Quotes

Maddie: Can you ask Mr. South if he knows where this door leads to? How did I not know we had a fallout shelter?
Simon: Mr. South said it's been here since the Cold War. That it hasn't been used in decades.
Maddie: Wait. We can talk down there. Doesn't that mean that somebody died?
Simon: Yeah. But who?
Maddie: Where do you think that goes?
Simon: No idea. But I'm guessing this is how Claire dragged your body out of here.

Sandra: Sorry to make you leave early.
Nicole: Oh, no. I don't mind. Pretty sure we were losing anyway.
Sandra: Do you think Maddie will forgive me and come home?
Nicole: I'd like to think we can be forgiven for anything if our heart's in the right place.
