Wilford makes a morning announcement for the crew of Big Alice before sitting down to breakfast with Alex. He thinks when Melanie is gone, Layton will be easy to defeat.
Snowpiercer and Big Alice discuss the mission and the supplies needed for Melanie to survive a month on her own.
At the border, Wilford tries to negotiate down the requested supplies but Melanie stands firm. Layton adds some requested items for Snowpiercer and offers fresh food for the crew of Big Alice in return.
Wilford won't let Ben come with Melanie to get the things she needs so Alex helps instead. They bond a bit in the process.
Layton sits with Josie who has been filled in on everything since the revolution. She warns him that she's the only thing that'll keep the Tailies with him.
Terence doesn't want Pike visiting him if he doesn't have any product to move.
Till and Roche question the breachmen who declare their loyalty for Wilford but deny attacking Lights.
Ben and Layton discuss Wilford and agree to keep no secrets from each other.
Wilford checks on Icy Bob with the Drs. Headwood and says that they need to improve his cold tolerance to more extreme cold for longer time and they have half the time they say they need.
In order to get Snowpiercer up the mountain to the station, Big Alice will need to use a booster and Snowpiercer will need to cut power to First and Second. Ruth musters the passengers but it isn't enough. Wilford proposes hitting the booster early and making Alex responsible for the safety of the train as it hits the curve fast. She hesitates but is successful and Melanie disembarks.
