Recap

Police cars race to Eddie Munson's home.

Detectives go in and are shocked at the site in front of them.

One of them calls a number and says he can't explain what happened.

Jason, Lucas, and the other footballers have had a night of partying after their big win, blissfully unaware about what happened.

Police arrive and question Jason. He blames Eddie and says he did something terrible.

He rushes into the woods and screams.

He then tells the boys they need to take down the Hellfire Club and say that they're into strange things.

They are not impressed when Lucas defends it.

Nancy and Fred go door-to-door to get answers for a piece in the paper.

Fred imagines a police officer turning into a creature and saying he's a killer.

We learn he was in a car accident a year ago and people believe he killed his friend.

Nancy finds Eddie's uncle and he says the people have already made up their mind about Eddie.

The uncle says he found the body and it was reminiscent of a man who killed his family in town years before.

Max and Dustin reel in Robin and Steve to locate Eddie.

They know he was close to a dealer, so Robin uses a video booking system to find an address.

They find a location and no one is there... until Eddie comes out and is scared.

He says he would tell them what happened, but they wouldn't believe him.

Dustin clues him in on the Upside Down as we see Nancy try to find Fred.

He's killed before Nancy finds him.

Dustin concedes that the new villain is Vecna and we see the house where the man killed his family.

Nancy knows the man is still alive and in prison.

Joyce tries to find out more about the mysterious message. She pieces it together and contacts a man named Enzo who turns out to be working in a prison where Hopper is held by the Russians.

He knows about the $40,000 in the fund for Eleven and he wants it in exchange for making Hopper "unstuck."

Eleven is giddy about Mike's arrival, so she takes him rollerblading.

She tells him about how great her life is and that she's there all the time.

Will is not impressed because he knows she's lying to make Mike feel at ease.

Angela and her friends show up and wonder who the "twig" is.

Angela and her friends humiliate Eleven by putting a song on and calling her the town snitch.

They video her on the rink getting a milkshake poured over her as people talk smack about her.

Eleven is inconsolable, running away to hide. She later stirs and Angela tells her to go run to her daddy.

Eleven grabs a roller skate and whacks Angela on the head, breaking her nose.

Will confronts Mike for not having time for him any longer, and Mike says he should have bothered to reach out more.

Stranger Things Season 4 Episode 2 Quotes

Will: Hey, Mike. How you doing?
Mike: Yeah, good, man. Great. Uh, what's that?
Will: Um, it's nothing. Just this painting I've been working on.
Mike: Cool.
Argyle: That's a rad shirt, man. Ocean Pacific?
Jonathan: Oh, hey, Mike. This is, uh, my friend Argyle.
Mike: Oh. Hey.
Argyle: Oh no, no, no. No, it's a shitty knockoff. Yeah.

Mike: Oh, careful, careful, careful. You're squishing your present. It's a gift. I, uh... I handpicked those for you in Hawkins. I know you like yellow, but now I'm realizing it's too much yellow. I know you also like purple, so I got purple as well. So I kinda did, like, a 70/30 split kinda thing.
Eleven: They're perfect. Thank you.
