During hypnotherapy, Sophie remembers the various things since her accident. She also wonders whether she was pushed off the boat after remembering a man on the ferry edge that day.

Sophie asks James questions about the accident, and he tells her he was in Portland that day for a conference. Later, Sophie tries to verify that James was in Portland but cannot find proof.

Baden asks a young man, Julio, for a favor, and it's later revealed he is a valet driver at James' company building. He gives Baden information from James' GPS.

James tells Sophie that he filed for a conservatorship on Sophie after the accident.

Hannah suggests that Sophie gets out of the city for a bit, and she and Caroline travel to the Ellis vacation home. While there, Sophie goes horseback riding and remembers a girl possibly falling off her horse, calling for Tess.

James and Harrison attend a basketball game, and they learn there is an issue at their firm involving a substantial amount of unaccounted-for money.

Sophie asks Caroline about her marriage, and Caroline tells her it was multi-faceted, but James loves her. Later, she discovers that the room from the video of her and Baden was at her vacation home.

Back in the city, Sophie goes to Caroline's job to speak with her and overhears Caroline talking to James and telling her they need to get their stories straight regarding Sophie. Outside, Baden is watching her, and he offers to give her some answers.
