Helen asks Cal to trust her as his attorney. Cal is upset that Mary Vaughn's threats got to him, and he was upset when Stu goaded him into a fight. He pushes everyone away, and Erik insists on driving him home. Erik and Helen agree to talk later. The ring in the box.

When Dana Sue returns home, she confronts Ronnie about the mystery home and insists he get rid of her.

Maddie's boys are concerned about Coach Cal. Maddie reassures them Cal was defending her, and that this will blow over, but they're scared this will alter their family dynamics.

Cal sent Maddie apology flowers at the spa. Trotter tries to comfort her, but Maddie fears Cal is keeping something from her. Cal meets with Helen and hates that his outburst hurt the people he loves. She told him that Stu dropped the charges.

The mystery lady is Kathy, Ronnie's little sister. She thinks Dana Sue stole Sullivan's from her. Ronnie wants her to stay away from his family.

At Margarita night, Helen shows off her engagement ring. Dana Sue wonders if Helen is torn and if that's a sign pointing toward Erik. She says Helen needs to decide soon. They discuss Kathy being back and Maddie's issues with Cal.

Dana Sue and Ronnie tell Annie about Ms. Frances's check, which will be set aside for her college fund. Bill shocked Maddie when he told her that Tyler no longer wanted to play baseball.

Ryan and Helen hash out their differences, especially regarding children. Helen tells Ryan she had a miscarriage while he was gone, and she wants to know if she can never have their baby and if it will change things.

Erik fings Cal on the bleachers and tells him about his PTSD group to encourage Cal to open up. Cal says he has demons inside, and they've gotten bigger. Erik tells him that he has to face his issues head-on.

Cal and Maddie decide to work on bettering themselves and just be friends for a while. Erik and Helen finally talk. She admits that Ryan proposed and she was considering it. Erik looks crushed.
