Jessi has been dancing since she was three years old. Since she transferred to Stamford Ballet School, she no longer feels like she's good enough.

She feels like her mom doesn't understand how important dancing is to her when she won't let her attend a special weekend dance clinic. Saturdays are family time.

Kristy gets an idea to watch 12 kids whose parents will be at a town hall meeting. Jessi is hurt she wasn't included, but Mary Anne reminds her that her winter recital is that day.

Jessi gets a babysitting job for Derek Masters, a TikTok and YouTube sensation. She has to help him record more videos. He gave her a pep talk about her audition.

Jessi is only in the corps de ballet and is too embarrassed to tell her friends the truth. She tells Derek she doesn't know what the point of dancing is anymore.

Derek suggests she get an agent and endorsements and make videos for TikTok too. Jessi brought Mary Anne along for backup to convince her mom.

Mrs.Ramsey did not approve and told Jessi she wasn't allowed to quit ballet just because she didn't get the part she wanted. Jessi begs Mary Anne not to tell the others.

Derek didn't get his latest audition. Jessi remembers dancing being fun, and she and Derek dance and eat ice cream.

Derek's dad got angry they didn't work and called Kristy to complain. Kristy defended Jessi.

After Jessi danced in her recital, she was surprised to see the BSC and other kids. Mary Anne wanted them to see what a great dancer Jessi was.

Derek came too, and everyone went out to celebrate.
