June is out in the snow, tears in her eyes, shocked that she's been left behind. She begins running, but it's not going to happen.

She turns around and looks at the house, running toward the garage. Maybe there is a vehicle inside? The door is locked, but she begins kicking it. Peering into the garage windows, she verifies there are vehicles. There is also a growling dog standing about a hundred yards away from her. Now it's time to determine if she can outrun the dog back to the house.

Inside the house, June begins looking for car keys assumedly. It's a big house with many nooks and crannies. It's almost to the point of ridiculousness the amount of cupboards and shelves and drawers. There is no electricity, but there is a doll house. there are family photos, including those of Hannah laughing with her new mother.

There is a drawing of Hannah and her family at the park, sending June back to Hannah's days at school, last hugs before entering for the day.

She recalls how terrible it was leaving Hannah at school, but that's nothing in comparison to saying goodbye earlier. June finds keys and looks out for the dog.

She opens the door and makes for the garage. Under the tarp is a muscle car. It's not conducive for snow, but it'll do in a pinch. The car starts, but June hasn't opened the garage door.

She hears a radio and the news about Anchorage, the UK allowing for help with refugees from Canada and stars and stripes forever baby. Everybody's got a hungry heart.

Fuck it. June goes back into the house. It's well stocked. She's taking some stuff. She gathers water, canned goods, a first aid kid and more into a backpack and returns to the garage. She hasn't changed her clothes yet. Oh, she's heading back into the house after looking into the back of the car. Off with the red garb. Inside the wardrobes is not much at first. On the second attempt, she finds the menswear which is more appropriate. What a shame.

She may not have had time to look at herself in the mirror recently and takes that time. She also recalls getting ready for a dinner with Luke when she was pregnant with Hannah. He liked her giant belly that was going to get better.

The Commander and Serena Joy arrive at the empty house. They are calling for Offred and Nick. Serena Joy isn't leaving without her baby.

The Commander has a better head on his shoulders for this situation for sure.

Serena Joy runs up the stairs to where we've last seen June. She recognizes that June's clothing is in a pile in the other room. She screams for Fred.

When the two find each other, they break into world war III. Upstairs, June finds a box of bullets and digs for a gun.

Serena Joy says she gave up everything for the cause for a baby in return. Fred calls foul on that. Serena starts in on the sick infatuation Fred has with June and Fred slams her against the wall. Serena Joy whines that Fred left her with nothing and cries and June tries so hard to pull the trigger on one of them but she doesn't even know on which one to take aim.

They leave. June's in tears but safe for now. She also has a weapon if she kept it in hand. She did.

She also starts going into labor, something that sends her back to a memory of her mother and where her mom wanted her to have Hannah.

There was no electricity in the house, but June is surprised she cannot raise the garage door. She tries manually, but it only aggravates her labor. She's going to have to drive through the door.

I am screaming "back up first" and she's still not doing it to make me feel happy enough about it. She's not backing up the sholw way to the wall. Instead, she takes a shovel outside and starts to chip away at the door. Considering the garage is empty, she could bash out the side of the wall more easily.

Except June's water broke. She's on her own. And the dog is back and wondering what June's doing. He's not all that mean, all things considered. It cries out to th sky and she just walks back to the house and lights a fire.

I think the dog may be June's spirit animal, weird as that sounds.

June recalls being in the hospital and getting ready to give birth with both Moira and Luke fussing over her when she really wanted her mommy there with her. Dualing playlists led to her screaming "fuck what is this song I hate this song" but she'd likely give anything for that shitty song to be playingright now.

Even worse, she's not giving birth. June is bleeding terribly. Something is wrong. If help doesn't arrive, she could either bleed out, lose the baby or both.

June goes out with the gun and bullets. She fires shots into the air to try to bring help her way.

June is naked and alone in the living room giving birth. As she works as hard as she can to drive another being from her body, she flashes back to pushing out Hannah, then to the training she had from Aunt Lydia, then to working with Janine to have her baby and all of the other experiences she's undergone that have brought her to this moment, all of them happy moments even under the worst of circumstances. June has her baby and I feel raw from watching.

June's mom arrived just seconds after Hannah was born, but she made it. Will anyone make it for June?

Just after June names her baby after her mom and wills others in the future into existence by continuing to share her story, there is the sound of a car in the snow outside.
