When you watch The Mysteries of Laura Season 1 Episode 9 you will join the team as they investigate the recent murder of a couple in their apartment. When Billy and Laura get the call, they head to the apartment and find some clues how to who could have possibly killed the couple. It leads them to the church that the couple was leaving their money to. At the church they talk to the pastor who informs them that the couple was devoted to the church because it was there to help them deal with their sons disease -- the fact that he was gay; they wanted to pray the gay away. These naturally disgusts both Billy and Laura and they immediately think that maybe the son had something to do with the murder do to the bigotry. They interview the son, Daniel, but the only thing he is guilty of is extorting money from her parents because he did not want the money to go to the church. Billy and Laura interview Daniels boyfriend and he gives them the clue that maybe his family had something to do with it considering he was arranged to get married to a woman but he came out as gay. Laura and Billy interview the brother and they find that his gold clubs were used in the muder; but he is not the killer. Instead we find out that Daniel's lawyer is the one that murdered his parents for money. Meanwhile, Jake and Laura hire a new nanny that is the perfect match for the boys!
