- Nolan responds to a call, and it's a young woman, Riley, who dies in a car accident in front of his eyes. He's there when she's willed into the hospital, and they do an honor walk because she's an organ donor.
- Chen has to give a statement against the woman who had her kidnapped.
- Harper needs some tests run because she was bleeding.
- A young girl with a rare blood type will be getting Riley's heart
- A man admits to taking full control of the hospitals' systems after hacking into things because he wants the heart for his wife that's supposed to go in this young girl.
- Jonah wants the heart and his wife didn' know about the whole thing.
- Chris does the trial prep for Lucy while they go over things for the case. She keeps having flashbacks to when she was dkidnapped
- THey bring in a kid, Rory for Harper and James to watch until the social worker gets there.
- Wesley shows up to represent Piper while the hospital decides who to give the heart too but they're running out of time.

- Someone dies and the medical director chooses to give the heart to Meredith to save the hospital.
- Jonah agrees to turn ICU and stuff on but holds off on the rest until after his wife's surgery
- Lucy feels some kind of way about Chris seeing the video of her in the drum after he hums the song, so she asks to watch it herself.
- Piper's father tries to attack Meredith and gets arrested.
- They start the surgery on Meredith
- Rory, the little kid, has a brain bleed and his parents are declining care because of their religious beliefs. Harper steps in.
- Piper talks to Meredith via a videocall and MEredith feels guilty enough to call it off.
- Jonah tries to stop everything but his partners locked him because it's a ransom.
- James feels like Harper overstepped with invoking police. Grey finds out that those people aren't Rory's parents. There is no evidence of them having a child and Rory has no birth certificate or social security number
- They arrest the kidnapper parents
- They find the people helping hold the hospital hostage and one of them flips.
- Lucy decides she doesn't want to testify after watching the video because she has nothing to prove.
