The siblings are wanted for possible involvement in the assassination.

A flashback to 2006 shows the family attend Ben’s funeral, where Reginald blames the kids for his death. Klaus conjured Ben and convinced him not to go towards the light. Vanya relays Ben's message.

Vanya has a vision of Harlan at the farm and she and the family head to the farm to help save him.

The Handler and Lila show up, intending to "eliminate those responsible for assassinating the board of directors." She brings an entire army of agents to take out the Hargreeves family.

Vanya blasts away the entire army except Lila and The Handler. They realize Lila has all of their powers and she's one of them.

Five tells Lila The Handler faked the kill order on her parents to get Lila.

Diego talks Lila down, but The Handler comes in and shoots everyone, Lila included.

As Five lays dying, he remembers Reginald’s words about starting small with time travel. He goes back seconds before The Handler walks in, and disarms her. Lila asks for the truth, but The Swede comes in and kills The Handler first. Lila gets away. The Swede walks away with no more bloodshed.

Herb and Dot show up and offer them a briefcase to get back home.

Sissy declines going to the future because she knows they won’t have a normal life. Harlan still has powers.

Ray reads a goodbye letter from Allison.

The Swede is picked up by the van of Klaus followers.

Luther tries to call Jack Ruby, who is seen watching the news about JFK and grabbing his gun.

The siblings take the briefcase back to April 2, 2019, the day after the apocalypse. They find Reginald alive and a different version of Ben.
