Recap

Tara manages to escape from Lettie Mae, Lafayette and Sookie by tricking her mother into freeing her from the handcuffs in exchange for forgiveness.  Lettie Mae helps her escape and Tara heads back to Sookie's to try and rescue Eggs.  When Tara arrive, she tries to resist Maryann taking control but after Maryann hits her, she's back to Zombie form.  Sookie and Lafayette follow and go to Sookie's to rescue Tara, and Sookie enters the house to find Tara and Eggs building a nest for an egg.  WTF.

Meanwhile, Andy and Jason are planning their own adventure to Sookie's house.  They stop by the sheriff's office and manage to distract the zombies long enough to load up on artillery and head over.

Sam finds Arlene's two kids starving and looking for their mom.  He decides to help them and takes them to the only other vampire he knows... Eric's.  He heads to Fangtasia where Eric and Pam seem to be drooling over the prospect of "teacup humans."  Although he acts unwilling to help Sam, who previously hated vampires, he takes off and flies (another WTF?) to meet up with Bill at Sophie Anne's.

Speaking of which, Bill is at Sophie Anne's little mansion where he enjoys the fake sun room, tasting some free range humans, and a riveting game of Yahtzee.  Sophie Anne reveals the only way to kill a maenad is to let them think their god has come and they leave themselves vunerable to death.  In order for her to believe her god has come, she needs a vessel.  They tend to use supernaturals... like Sam.  Eric arrives at Sophie Anne's just as Bill leaves to see Sam.

Meanwhile, all was not good with our favorite couple of Jessica and Hoyt.  Apparently Hoyt did not take Jessica feasting on his mother as well as we hoped.  He ended up leaving Jessica and heading back with his zombie mother who proceded to yell at him and tell him the truth about how his father committed suicide.  Bitch.

True Blood Season 2 Episode 11 Quotes

Sam: You can't shoot anyone else. These are our friends. This is our town.
Jason: Sometimes you need to destroy something to save it. That's in the Bible... or the Constitution

Sophie-Anne: Maenads are sad, silly things... relics who believe in the God who comes. Bill: Does he ever come?
Sophie-Anne: Of course not. Gods only exist in humans' minds, like money or morality
