Recap

Jack is brought to the hospital, laying on a gurney and tachty. He codes and they revive him. We flash forward to everyone at Jack's bar. They're waiting to surprise ... Ricky for his graduation party.
Jack threw the party for him.
Preacher and Connie field questions from Muriel and the others about Paige and when she's returning since he's still watching over Christopher.
Mel frets a bit over Jack since its' been three weeks since the shooting. He tells her that he can't wait to celebrate her birthday with her, but she doesn't want to do that. She wants a bath and a cupcake after dinner and working. Jack slanders coconut cupcakes. But he wants to do something special, and she doesn't like his idea of a birthday celebration.
Mel wants him to promise her that he'll never tell anyone about her birthday.
Jack's sister, Brie, is worried about Jack and hasn't gone home yet, and he thinks that's strange.
Hope is stuck out of town, and Muriel is expressing interest in Doc again.
Mike tells Jack that the raid was a bust and Calvin was under surveillance during the shooting, so it wasn't him.

Doc talks to the other guys about Jack. Jack still doesn't remember what happened that night beyond being at Mel's cabin or who shot him.
Doc is having bad headaches.
Mel thinks about Mark and her last birthday when she was pregnant while she holds baby Chloe.
Charmaine shows up with her new boyfriend, Todd, who is a personal injury lawyer. She apologies to Jack for never going up to the hospital. She introducing Todd to Jack and Mel, and he seems to know whatever it is she told him about them.
Charmaine tells them that she's engaged to Todd, after three weeks. Joey sends Mel flowers for her birthday.
Jack ignores what she says and brings a masseuse over to pamper her.

Preach drops Christopher off at camp, but Christopher is nervous.
Lizzie and Ricky hang out. Ricky is still paranoid about Connie catching them.
Doc finds out he has macular degeneration. Doc meets with a hedgehunter to find a new doctor to take over, but he wants it done quietly and offline.
She says no one is interested in praticing country medicine, and it's a competitive field.
Jack has sushi flown in from two hours away.

Calvin threatends Brady.
Brie is avoiding phone calls from someone.
Brady comes in and hits on her while they're at the bar. He doesn't seem to know that she's Jack's sister.
Brady talks to Jack, knows abut Jack's memory loss, and it seems like he's trying to see if Jack remembers seeing him that night.

Christopher is having a hard time making friends at camp.
Jack listens to Doc and tries to give Mel a bigger surprise. She still tells him she doesn't want it. Jack gave her the bubble bath at his house and her coconut cupcake. They have a bath together. Mel shares that her mom died a week before her eleventh birthday and her father didn't get out of bed for the twelth.
Jack's cabin catches fire.
