There's a chill in the air. Or is that just the hair raising on the back of your neck?
Is there a difference?
We may never know if you keep watching shows like the awesome selection below.
The Woman in White - PBS (Oct 21)
This five-part adaptation of the classic tale has already begun, but you can catch the first part on PBS.org. Subsequent episodes of the story of a young man who encounters a ghostly woman in white on a moonlit road can be found Sunday nights on PBS.
Heathers - Paramount (Oct. 25)
This reimagining of the movie of the same name has received a bit of a makeover before its release. It won't be as haunting, but it will surely be as controversial. Yes, there will still be murder and mayhem. Promise.
The Haunting of Hill House - Netflix (airing)
A top show of 2018 (if not Netflix's best series ever), this reimagining of Shirley Jackson's original story must be seen to be understood. It's scary, passionate, beautiful, and moving. Don't watch it alone.
Light as a Feather - Hulu (Airing)
Light as a Feather follows five teen girls as they deal with the supernatural fallout stemming from an innocent game of Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board. When the girls start dying off in the exact way that was predicted, the survivors must figure out why they’re being targeted — and whether the evil force hunting them down is one of their own.
Channel Zero: The Dream Door - Syfy (Oct. 26)
Based on Charlotte Bywater's short story "Hidden Door," Channel Zero 2.5 (so they tell me) follows a couple who discovers such a door in their basement and the horrifying encounter defying all logic that follows. After the premiere, a new episode will premiere nightly until the six have concluded on Halloween night.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - Netflix (Oct 26)
Riverdale's cousin makes a splash on October 26. The teenage witch grapples with high school, family issues, turning 16 and, oh, you know, signing her soul over to the Dark Lord.
Midnight, Texas - NBC (Oct 26)
Would you believe everyone is happy when this NBC favorite returns for its second season on what appears to be a very favorite Friday in October? I didn't think so. Watch to discover what the new season holds!
Into the Dark - Hulu (Airing)
The Body is the first movie of the new, dark series on Hulu, and it just so happens to be Halloween-focused fare with some familiar faces in unfortunate places. It's a lot of gruesome fun.
Castlevania - Netflix (Oct. 26)
For anime lovers, you get Vlad Dracula just the way you like him. And there aren't any stupid rules holding back on blood, guts, and lore galore. Castlevania Season 2 returns!
Zombie at 17 - Lifetime Movie (Oct. 27)
Lifetime gets in on the excitement by offering up one of their teen queens as a zombie. It looks cheesy as hell, and isn't that the way we like it? Yes, there are even brains in a cup.
Stan Against Evil - IFC (Oct. 31)
Have you been worried about Stan and Evie since they might have inadvertently released hell on earth at the end of Stan Against Evil Season 2? It's time to join the frenemies to laugh through their exploits once more!
Tell Me a Story - CBS All Access (Oct. 31)
There is no time for tricks nor treats on the hallowed night as another new series premieres. The long-awaited return of Paul Wesley to television on the Kevin Williamson whacked out fairytale drama begins. We wouldn't miss it!
