The White Princess: If You're Missing Game of Thrones, You Want to Meet Her!

at .

The only dragon you'll see in The White Princess will be on the Welsh flag, but that should be the only disappointment for Game of Thrones Fanatics watching the new Starz offering. There are plenty of scheming mothers, a missing prince to challenge the king, lustful romances, and oh yeah, some magic.

The follow-up to 2013's The White Queen has a new cast, but veteran show runner Emma Frost continues to deliver a world rich with historical detail and beautiful people willing to do just about anything to stay alive...and more importantly, stay in power.

If you haven't had time to rewatch The White Queen, or if you're new to the world based on Phillipa Gregory's Cousin's War book series, we've prepared a handy primer to the main characters for you.

Study up, and decide which side of the battlefield you'll stand on! The White Princess premieres Sunday at 8/7c on Starz!

1. Elizabeth of York

The oldest York princess, it falls to her to bring peace to England by uniting her family with their Lancasterian cousins through marriage with Henry Tudor. Still in love with her uncle, Richard the III, she must resign herself to her fate. But when a boy claiming to be her brother returns to England, she is torn between supporting her York heritage and loyalty to her Tudor husband and son.

2. Elizabeth Woodville

Wife of King Edward IV, Dowager Queen Elizabeth must choose which of her children to support -- her oldest daughter is married to her hidden son's rival for the Crown. Can she influence the course of events with the magic she learned from her mother?

3. Cecily of York

The 2nd York princess and forever in her older sister Lizzie's shadow, Cecily struggles to find her place at the new Tudor court. Will her desire for advancement at court leave her at odds with her family?

4. Perkin Warbeck (The Boy)

Perkin Warbeck may be the son of a Flemish boatman...or he may be the lost heir to King Edward IV. Prince Richard was believed to be killed in the Tower along with his older brother, but his mother, Elizabeth Woodville, secretly sent a peasant boy in his place. Is Warbeck really Richard? Or is he just another pretender to the throne?

5. Margaret Plantagenet

Daughter of George Plantagenet, Maggie's been protecting her little brother Teddy ever since her uncle, Edward IV, had her father executed for treason. Teddy's simplicity often puts him (and his sister) in danger. Will Maggie's close relationship with her cousin Elizabeth help protect her brother, or will the new queen turn against them?

6. Margaret of Burgundy

Sister to Edward IV and Richard III, and widow to Elizabeth Woodville's cousin, Margaret rules Burgundy in her own right. The only things more important to her than restoring a York prince to the throne of England are her step-daughter and grandchildren.

7. Henry VII

Having lived most of his life in exile with his uncle, Jasper Tudor, Henry finds himself suddenly the king of a country he is unfamiliar with, surrounded by a court he cannot trust, and married to a girl whose alleged brother is a threat to his reign.

8. Margaret Beaufort

A zealously pious woman, her morals have been known to be flexible in pursuit of her life long goal of placing her son, Henry Tudor, on the throne of England. She arranged for his marriage to Princess Elizabeth, the daughter of her enemy, but how will she react when she is pushed out by their growing relationship?

9. Jasper Tudor

Henry Tudor's uncle and guardian, Jasper is more than the young King's father figure, he's also the love of Margaret Beaufort's life. Will he be able to give Henry unbiased advice, or is he just another tool for Margaret to control her son?
