Anna Paquin is a talented Canadian actress and grew up in New Zealand. She is a vegetarian and loves photography and The Beatles.
She starting her acting Career young, landing a major role in The Piano when she was only 11 years old. In this movie, she was given an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She has acted in many other big screen films since then. Some of her most famous roles were Amy Alden in Fly Away Home, Isabella II of Spain in Steven Speilberg's Amistad, Mackenzie Siler in She's All That, Alison Kantrowitz in A Walk on the Moon, and Rogue in X-Men, X2, and X-Men: The Last Stand.
More recently, you may know Anna from her role as Chloe Hamon in Blue State, Elaine Goodale in Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Irena Sendler in The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler, Jennie in Open House, Lila in The Romantics, and Lisa Cohen in Margaret.
She currently plays Sookie Stackhouse in HBO's True Blood, and is married to her co-star Stephen Moyer.
