Brooke Shields' career began in the 1960s when she was just an infant. Her first modeling job was for Ivory Soap and her modeling career continued as a child actor. She was the youngest fashion model to ever be feature don the cover for Vogue. She also had her controversial ad for Calvin Klein at the age of 14. By 16, Sheilds was making as much as $10,000 a day as a model. Wow.
Shelds' acting career also began early with her first major role in the 1978 Pretty Baby, where she played a child who lived in a brothel. However, due to her age and nude scenes, the film was very controversial. Shields' next role was also fairly controversial in the infamous 1980 The Blue Lagoon where was in featured nude scenes.
Shields' career took a break while she attended Princeton University from 1983 to 1987 where she graduated from with a degree in French Literature. Go Brooke!
Though she starred in several other film and television shows in the next several years, her big return would be her leading role in NBC's Suddenly Susan which ran for 4 years. After several other roles on television shows, including as Miley Stewart's mother on the infamous Hannah Montanah show, she has finally returned with a starring role in our favorite show, Lipstick Jungle.
