Brooke Elliot is an American actress and songwriter born November 16, 1974, in Fridley, Minnesota. Elliot studied Musical Theatre at Western Michigan University and graduated in 1998. She had roles in several musicals, including US tours of Beauty and the Beast and Broadway productions of Taboo and The Pirate Queen. She's most well-known for playing Jane Bingum on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva. Since 2020, Elliot has portrayed Dana Sue Sullivan on Netflix's Sweet Magnolias, and in 2022, she and her co-star Brandon Quinn appeared in Lifetime's A Country Christmas Harmony.
