Tim Matheson

Tim Matheson is an American actor, director, and producer.

Tim began his acting career at 13 when he appeared in Robert Young's CBS comedy series Window on Main Street (1961).

Matheson is known for playing 'Eric "Otter" Stratton' in the 1978 film National Lampoon's Animal House (1978)

On TV, he played "Vice President John Hoynes" on The West Wing (1999), for which he received two Primetime Emmy award nominations for Best Guest Star in a Drama Series.

Matheson starred as 'Dr. Brick Breeland' in The CW series Hart of Dixie (2011 - 2015)

Tim Matheson has also director several episodes of television including, "Burn Notice," "Cold Case," "Criminal Minds," "Drop Dead Diva," "Eureka," "The Last Ship," "Numbers," "Suits," "White Collar," and "Without a Trace." He's also directed pilots for Fox's "The Good Guys" and the USA Network successful original series "Covert Affairs."

He can currently be seen as Dr. Vernon Mullins on the Netflix series Virgin River.
