Matt Davis Talks The Vampire Diaries Season 8

Very few characters have had as terrible a time at life as Alaric Saltzman. The Vampire Diaries Season 8 makes no exception to this rule. We got a chance to chat with Matt Davis about his character's transformation from awkward high school teacher slash vampire hunter to co-parenting with Caroline and Stefan.

When the series returns, we find Alaric searching for a way to save his friends from the evil lurking in the Armory's shadows and navigating his new life as a single father. Alone. Because Ric's terrible at relationships.

Okay, so he isn't terrible at relationships, but all his lovers seem to DIE which just doesn't bode well for his future with women.
