By Riverdale Season 2 Episode 5 a secret threatens their friendship because Betty, from the get-go, is deeply involved in the mystery.

Betty's speech at the end of the finale has inspired the mystery.

While it doesn't seem to make sense, it leaves her broken and hopeless.

It's already heartbreaking, but expect Riverdale to step it up and embrace the thriller in a more intensifying way than Riverdale Season 1.

Betty is also very trusting, which could open her up to struggles ahead because of Toni, the new girl in town.

Should Bugheads be worried? It sure sounds like there might be trouble on the horizon.

Veronica will be met with her own challenges with daddy dearest back in town. Expect her to feel shut out in her own family, both emotionally and physically.
