Grey's Anatomy Emmy Fashion: Part II

by at . Comments

While Grey's Anatomy came up short in terms of awards won, its stars made quite the impression -- fashion-wise -- at the Emmy Awards.

As far as Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush is concerned, two stars shone above the rest on Sunday’s Emmy red carpet.

Katherine Heigl at the Emmy Awards
"It was a fashion coming out party for two stars — Evangeline Lilly and Katherine Heigl," Bush stated.

While we proclaim them the best dressed stars of the night (the Insider would pick Heigl (right) and her Grey's co-stars by a mile any day), we’ll let a true fashion expert chime in with her hits and misses from TV’s biggest night.

"The Emmy red carpet was hot! It was wild and purple reigned," proclaimed Stacy London, the host of TLC’s What Not To Wear.

Ellen Pompeo was among the beauties who made purple the color of the 2006 Emmy Awards. But it was Heigl who stole the show, going with old Hollywood glam in a stunning nude Escada gown.

And after Katherine was done bathing in the glow of the flashbulbs snapping on the red carpet, Stacy showered her with a Best Dressed Award.

"Because you rock," Stacy smiled.

Below are some more Emm Awards images we've posted of the Grey's Anatomy cast, but we've since added more, popular demand. Check out our GALLERY for more than a dozen new Emmy pics!

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

When we say things like "people don't change" it drives scientist crazy because change is literally the only constant in all of science. Energy. Matter. It's always changing, morphing, merging, growing, dying. It's the way people try not to change that's unnatural. The way we cling to what things were instead of letting things be what they are. The way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. The way we insist on believing despite every scientific indication that anything in this lifetime is permanent. Change is constant. How we experience change that's up to us. It can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance at life. If we open our fingers, loosen our grips, go with it, it can feel like pure adrenaline. Like at any moment we can have another chance at life. Like at any moment, we can be born all over again.

Doesn't matter how tough we are, trauma always leaves a scar. It follows us home, it changes our lives, trauma messes everybody up, but maybe that's the point. All the pain and the fear and the crap. Maybe going through all of that is what keeps us moving forward. It's what pushes us. Maybe we have to get a little messed up, before we can step up.
