The dreamy doctors and interns of Seattle Grace Hospital will be suiting up on September 4, but not in their trademark blue scrubs.
Powered by Ford initiative, which has raised over $87 million for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation over the past 12 years, Warriors in Pink is enlisting our favorite stars in its latest fundraising push.
Cast members such as Patrick Dempsey, Isaiah Washington, Sandra Oh (pictured below) and T.R. Knight will be the face of the campaign supporting the Komen Foundation. Ads will run in Conde Nast, Meredith, Rodale, Martha Stewart Omnimedia and publications owned by Time, Inc.
"We recognize the strength and courage it takes to deal with the everyday challenges of fighting breast cancer. We wholeheartedly support breast cancer awareness and eradication and are proud to be affiliated with Ford's Warriors in Pink program," said Shonda Rhimes, Creator and Executive Producer of Grey's Anatomy. "We're committed to the Warrior fighting spirit and urge everyone to play a role in the battle against breast cancer."
Connie Fontaine, Special Events and Sponsorships Manager for Ford Motor Company, is thrilled to have Shonda & Co. on board.
"The Warriors in Pink clothing line is a creative way to extend the message of hope, strength and unity that presides in the hearts and souls of those affected by breast cancer... Our relationship with the Komen Foundation continues to grow as we find new ways to support the men, women and children affected by breast cancer," she said.
The Warriors in Pink collection includes t-shirts, men's thermal wear, gear and temporary tattoos for kids. The items feature bold symbols representing the Warrior spirit of taking charge, living out loud, harnessing power and standing together. All proceeds from Warriors in Pink merchandise will benefit the Komen Foundation. Learn more here.
