Jennifer Hudson Nominated for a Golden Globe Award
After receiving glowing reviews for her performance in Dreamgirls, Jennifer Hudson had her role truly validated this morning.
She was nominated for a Golden Globe best supporting actress award.
"I'm overwhelmed right now," the American Idol star said on the Today show immediately after the nominations were announced. "I just started screaming when they said the names."
Here's to hoping Hudson can rack up the first-ever acting award for an American Idol alum!

Wow! I had to go see what the hype was all about on Dream Girls.
Gotta say Jennifer stole the entire movie. After her performance of "You're gonna love me", you had me, my family and the entire audience clapping and cheering. It was as though you were giving a live performance. Never have experienced that in my entire life going to the movies. You rock girl! I hope you win both the Golden Globe and Oscar.
