Antonellla Barba Photos Will Not Cost American Idol Hopeful, Producer Says

Nigel Lythgoe, American Idol producer, commented on the Antonella Barba situation this week:

"Without question, any competition like this is part popularity contest," Lythgoe told Extra correspondent (and Simon Cowell girlfriend) Terri Seymour.

"It won't effect anything, Antonella is about her looks and her talent and that's the only thing that will effect her journey on American Idol," Lythgoe added in a second interview broadcast on Tuesday evening's Inside Edition.

I just want you to know that I think you did a terrific job on this websight.

American Idol is a family show. It is my opinion that Antonella be cut from any further competition. It would show that American Idol has respect for the show they produce & respect for the audience that watch. It is a digital footprint that will follow this woman for the rest of her life and will always be associated with the show, hence why I think the producers should take a positive stand in this matter.

It is nothing less than blatant racism if Idol producers do not treat this girl the same way they treated Frenchie Davis. FOX imposed their moral views on the entire Idol fanbase, denying all the experience of an obvioulsy very talented singer(Frenchie). The same moral sword should be used to excise Anotella from the show for her similar (or worse) indiscretions...PERIOD!

Antonella: No Talent, Wise A--, should have been this first one off.
