No!!! Why? Addison is awesome. She's part of GA. Hello, she's the reason I started watching GA. She's funny and we need a really woman on GA, not wimpy Mer. She's so...so...annoying, but Kate isn't!!! I LOVE KATE WALSH!!!!!!!

What a shame to say but I began to love GA just very recently, make it just two weeks ago!!! I watch it from DVD releases and so far I was able to follow the latest episodes now...thank God for the internet...anyway, just like everybody else is saying, i think it is a risk to take away Addison from GA because a lot of people come to love her, including me, to be part of SGH...she added spice to make the story even interesting and if she will be taken out for a spin-off, there's definitely changes!!!As much as we don't want such change in the GA ensemble, we cannot do about it if the producers had decided for it. However, i just hope the spin-off better be great! It would also be nice if Shonda created a series before GA. Like a series where we see the interns still in their med school days and derek, addison and mark are still in NY. I think it would be fun to see their story before Grey's Anatomy!!! ;p

all of you that are saying that yall will stop watching if she goes off.. she wasnt even there the whole first season! everyone survived without her then.. and i think if everyone loves greys then her spin-off will be a sucess.

I actually just read on spoilerfix.com that should the Grey's 2.0 flop, Walsh has a clause in her contract that guarantees her a return trip to Seattle Grace.
So rest easy kate/addison fans.

1) According to news reports Addison will return to Grey's if the spinoff is not successful.
2) Will you all just give Shonda Rhimes a chance and watch it when it comes out. You all love GREYS because SHE writes it so well.
So let's please be positive and see what Ms Rhimes comes up with - we could LOVE it and Greys as well. A Double Dipper - oh yes!!

i am happy for kate walsh for getting her own show...a spin off you call it...but i love her in GA! she's great in GA, she adds spice to the show. to be honest i really like her scenes and i look forward to it in every episode, she has some of the great lines...i also like her friendship with callie, i think they make good pals...like meredith and christina! their friendship is only starting so why cut it? i believe that addie/kate has a lot to offer and contribute in making the show no.1 as it is at present...but in the end if ever the spin off pushes through i'm sure i will still watch it just because of kate walsh' name heading the cast! what can i do? i just love the girl...

Okay... so mostly everyone agrees that we love Kate Walsh, and her character Addison. BUT... that's what ABC is banking on. They hope that all of us will jump and watch the other show to follow her character! The thing is... what we love about Addison is how she interacts with the rest of the ensemble cast. As many have said, without the rest of the ensemble, I'm not sure how ANY member of the GA cast would last. I really don't want her to leave... I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to see her stay as the new chief. I think it'd be great to see her superior to the "little-boyish attendings" (as someone called them). Plus, I'd love to see further development between the friendship between Addy and Callie. I loved the scenes between them so far. We are only talking about a pilot, so if it doesn't go well, I hope they keep her around.... if not, I just pray that Shonda knows what she's doing. I'm not gonna lie though, I've been a little disappointed at the predictability of this season. ESP. t
