Sara Ramirez Signs Record Contract
We've already seen her rock out in her underwear on Grey's Anatomy.

Now Tony-winning actress Sara Ramirez, who plays the feisty wife of George O'Malley (T.R. Knight), Callie, has signed a deal to record her own album.

"All I can say is that Eric Idle and John Du Prez, who were the writers of Spamalot, are writing the album," Ramirez told TV Guide at the Step Up Inspiration Awards, where she was honored for mentoring young girls.

Although her lips are sealed about the disc's sound, Sara Ramirez â€" who has already inked a contract with Universal Music Group â€" did reveal that she'd be spending her summer break from Grey's Anatomy in the studio recording the album.

But the Mexico native did let a few details slip about the love triangle brewing on Grey's Anatomy between George, Callie and Izzie.

"Callie is just showing up doing her job, oblivious to everything," says Ramirez.

So will she call it quits after discovering George slept with Izzie?

"I think she knows her relationship with George is in sort of a delicate place," she says. "But she's a strong lady. She knows what she wants so I'm sure she'll go to any lengths to get it!"

Hopefully, this means we'll see more of Calliope Iphigenia Torres-O'Malley in next year's Season 4 â€" but Ramirez isn't talking just yet.

"Am I back next season?" she asks with a laugh. "Maybe. This character's just been so much fun to play. Acting with this group of people has been a master class in episodic television. For now, I'm just enjoying the ride."

Hey all of you who haven't listened to Sara sing on the Spamalot soundtrack - Sara has an absolutely FANTASTIC voice. You can find some of the tracks to listen to for free on the internet. Definitely take a listen. She's no pop star wannabee - the old actress turned singer routine. I wish the writers would come up with a reason for her to sing on Grey's.

so here we are 18 or so months later and no album, not even a hint of one - what gives? I know putting out an album can be a lengthy process so how about an update from Sara's people or universal music group?

Sara is an excellent actress, and I'll be so dissapointed if she doesn't come back. She came to stay ! Don't miss this!

Hey. That's a CD I will buy. (her voice is phenomenal). I may survive Gizzie but not with a Greys without Callie....

Callie is by far my favorite character on Grey's she's not constantly angsty or whiny and its really refreshing. I'm really hoping she comes back for another season, it just wouldnt be the same without her!
And im glad that Sara is getting some recognition for her voice, she's extremely talented~!

I can't picture her making music..i can't wait to hear it..i don't really like Callie that much so i won't mind if she leaves..I like George and Izzie better! :)

Grey's was good before Sara joined the cast...but now the she is a part of the show it is must see tv for me. She is the reason I really got into the show...the reason I didn't stop watching towards the end of season two cuz I was totally getting sick of the Mer love triangle...squar...whatever it was. I can't want for the cd...she deserves that project...but She also deserves to be kept on Grey's if that is what she wants. If not grey's get her her own damn show.

Glad she is releasing a cd. :) However, I'm still in the denial stage of Callie and George, so I am not ready to see her leave Grey's, so she better not. LOL! And because of this, I will probably go through the 5 stages after someone dies. Next I'll get angry because they ruined the show. Then I'll tell myself it is okay, when really it isn't. (Bargaining and Depression) And then maybe someday I will accept the fact. :)

I like Callie but I won't miss her if she leaves. But that's great news for Sara hopefull Grey's was just a stepping stone for her.

I hate Callie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The sooner she leaves, the better. Then there'll be Gizzie

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Lexie: [narrating] Grief may be a thing we all have in common, but it looks different on everyone.
Mark: It isn't just death we have to grieve. It's life. It's loss. It's change.
Alex: And when we wonder why it has to suck so much sometimes, has to hurt so bad. The thing we gotta try to remember is that it can turn on a dime.
Izzie: That's how you stay alive. When it hurts so much you can't breathe, that's how you survive.
Derek: By remembering that one day, somehow, impossibly, you won't feel this way. It won't hurt this much.
Bailey: Grief comes in its own time for everyone, in its own way.
Owen: So the best we can do, the best anyone can do, is try for honesty.
Meredith: The really crappy thing, the very worst part of grief is that you can't control it.
Arizona: The best we can do is try to let ourselves feel it when it comes.
Callie: And let it go when we can.
Meredith: The very worst part is that the minute you think you're past it, it starts all over again.
Cristina: And always, every time, it takes your breath away.
Meredith: There are five stages of grief. They look different on all of us, but there are always five.
Alex: Denial.
Derek: Anger.
Bailey: Bargaining.
Lexie: Depression.
Richard: Acceptance.
