Nicely said Shell, you are right it will be an interesting journey

One thing I was sad but now happy about is that Burk and Christiana did not get married because something was left really unfinished and until we see thst real spark and commitmet from both sides, there is no need letting them get married only to turn around and be worse than George and calli. Two. I am happy that you left us thinking more about our main star.... Meredith Grey and Mcdreamy. I will like to see more problems for them and resolution and love and conflict and love etc. I do not care about Addison, She is a distraction.. she should go to the new show... mcdreamy can have other distractions that would be less predictable. Will Burk be allowed to grow and develope more. I think there is more to him than we are shown. lets see him be aliveand not robotic for a change. he is too good, straight or focused. klet him make a mistake or do somethng drastic, and lets see his emotions. hanks for not killing Meredeth.!!! Devoted fan

I'm in an entirely different camp than most people here....I thought the season finale was nearly flawless. Was it the "feel good episode of the season"? No, but it left so much unanswered that it's impossible NOT to wait with bated breath for next season's premiere. Walking away was one of the biggest demonstrations of Burke's love for Cristina, IMO. Deep inside, he knew that she was marrying him for him. He loved her enough to let her go. How many of us would be so selfless. Does it make us feel good to see that not everything ends in the proverbial "happily ever after"? No, but what really does? If that's what you're looking for, rent Disney classics and watch numerous Prince Charmings sweep their girls off their feet and carry them off to a land that really doesn't exist. The scene where Cristina simultaneously realizes that she's free and alone was some of the finest acting I've ever seen. Sandra Oh was inspiring. Now, to Mer/Der. I love this couple, but boy are they flawed and broken - both of them. Lets not forget that Meredith had to endure Addison's arrival and the truth about Derek's marriage. Is it realistic to believe that after that kind of deception (not to mention that multitude of heartbreaking and life changing events that subsequently happened to Meredith), that she's questioning everything, including her relationship with Derek? Give this couple time - I think the ultimate reward will be nothing less than joyous once they fix themselves and find their way back to eachother. The detours will no doubt be exasperating and painful for us - viewers and Mer/Der fans, but again, I have no doubt it will be worth it. I'm still on the fence about George/Izzie/Callie. I'm not a fan of "let's have a baby" to remedy the marital flaws, but I'm not so sure I'm a fan of an Izzie/George coupling. Poor Izzie - falling for men she just can't have. Maybe we'll learn that our beautiful super-model turned doctor doesn't find herself worthy of someone who can give himself to her wholly. We'lll see. I'm ambivalent regarding Lexie. I can't imagine that Derek would even consider a relationship with Mer's half sister - that would make him a snake, so un-McDreamy-like. Though, her presence will create some kind of drama. Let's all hope McSteamy beds her. I'm anxious to see what path George takes, whether Dr. Burke will return, how Adele accepts Richard's non-retirement, whether Thatcher comes back with another one-two punch and lays out Meredith, if Callie ends up preggers, how Bailey adjusts to the fact that she is not "the chosen one" (give that woman more screen time!!) if Izzie gets her man and if Alex ever finds Ava again. Mostly, I'm looking forward to the emotional evolution of my favorite girls - Meredith and Cristina. I'm happy to hear that GA and company will have more fun next season. They're all due. Let's just hope Cristina's eyebrows grow back and Meredith comes back with better hair. Good on you, Shonda. I for one, loved the finale. I'm already craving the return of GA and it's not even June!

Let's all take a moment to breathe here.........
OK I thought that it was a great episode, even though all of this crappy stuff happened. Do you honestly think that if Mer/Der were together, Cristina and Burke got married, and George and Izzie rode off into the sunset together, there would be any grounds for a new season?!?
NO! Another thing, I totally disagree with chay. That's exactly what they were trying to accomplish. As the season wore on Cristina was becoming less and less Cristina. She didn't realize that marriage for her was confinement. The Cristina she was when we met her was completely different, so when Meredith cut off the dress, Cristina was being freed from the person burke created her to be. That scene was one of my favorites because of its deeper meaning. Second, Bailey did not get chief resident because of her family. Chief did not want to be responsible for her becoming less to her family. FABULOUS EPISODE.....

Yea I agree with mc.confused. This episode gave me too many questions. Whats gonna happen with MerDer? What'll Cristina do after Burke left here? What'll George do with his future? etc etc etc. Btw I hate that lexie bar girl, I just dont like her since the first time I saw her picture posted on this site. Haha. I'm such a fan of MerDer and I hope they'll be together next season. Well n Burke-Cristina, I was like "SERIOUSLYY?" when Burke left Cristina. Burke was like sooo immature, imo. They were like the 'strongest' couple (not like Merder / ocallie) n i was wondering why does it have to end this way. i mean, poor cristina :( N Izzie SUCKS! When Denny died, I loved Izzie because she seems to be a strong girl, although she struggled at first. But after she did the MCNASTY with George, i wass like "WTF?!" O'callie are newlyweds n cant u just leave them alone n let them be happy for a while? and why is Addison leaving :( she's my favorite character and I'd love to see her & alex be together.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.
