"The Other Side of This Life" Preview
It's a decision that could change Grey's Anatomy forever... and spawn another hit show. But do we want it to?
When Thursday's two-hour episode, "The Other Side of This Life (Parts I & II)," hits the airwaves, the focal point will be Addison, who is currently considering a change of scenery.
A permanent change of scenery.
We're told that Addison talks with her god-daughter and her friends from medical school, and that she lands a job offer outside of Seattle. Many interesting people guest star in the course of Dr. Montgomery's road trip to Los Angeles, leading us to wonder if Addison (Kate Walsh) will return... or whether Private Practice will be officially born.
As for the former men in her life, Derek has to perform emergency surgery and Mark treats a patient who wants more than surgery. Preston has a reservation about marrying Cristina, and he turns to someone unlikely for advice on the matter. The doctors also treat a woman with a rare type of cancer, and whose daughter doesn't believe people make mistakes.

I think the last episode was going for way too much and did not enjoy the California/Addison show. I don't think that it would make a good spin-off and hope the writers just stick to writing good grey's episodes.

I'm sorry but the spin off sucks. Another cutsie California series.
The writing and story line were lame, at best.
I felt like I got robbed of seeing a Greys episode. And they better put Mer and Der together, they are string it out to long.
I'm pasinsg on new show.

Oh! I don't know about the woman with the rare type of cancer, and if it is Izzie, but I'm betting on it not being. I really want to see the Grey's tomorrow, but I promised my friends I would be with them! How stupid of me! oh well. I seriously hope George doesn't leave Seattle Grace. And, does anybody know anything more on the elevator moment between Izzie and George?

OMG!!!! But why would they give izzie's daughter the bone marrow if Izzie had a rare type of cancer? it could be but im betting on no! I cant wait...but i will miss addy! i finally got to like her this season! And george has to leave callie...but not SGH!

i hate the idea of the spin whatever, not because i am going to miss addi, but because shonda will now be sharing her ideas and not giving her full concentration on GA.

Does anyone think that the "woman" with the rare type of cancer could be Izzie? And the daughter that doesnt believe 'people make mistakes'..... is referrring to Izzie giving her up..... I mean, they did run a test on Izzies bone marrow...and we never did see the results .... hmmmm, whats your thoughts?
